speaking from years and years of experience as a wedding planner, you should choose the hall that is offering such a worry free package. you may think that you will have lots of time to spend doing fun things with your visiting family members, but you won’t. the day before your wedding will be very busy and the wedding day is so full of things for you to be concerned about the fewer worries you have about exectuting the actual event the better off you will be. the prices you quoted for the food and alcohol and the hall and all the amenities is very very reasonable. you should definately take that option. don’t worry about your guests having to travel from their hotels, that is normal when out of town guests come to a wedding unless you have the wedding and reception actually in one of the hotels.
if you call around and check with the hotels closest to your site, you can get them to quote you a room block price for your wedding guests. they will reserve the rooms under the name of your wedding (ie, smith/jones wedding) and give your guests a discount on the rooms. be sure to include a little welcome basket for your out of town guest….things like small boxes of gourmet cookies or crackers and cheese.. fruit….bottled water or small bottles of wine….a keepsake post card from your town….and a note welcoming them are good choices.
I would go with the place nearest you. Congratulations!
