Any ideas for attractive patio furniture comfortable enough to sleep on?
I just moved to an apartment with a decent sized balcony. I have shade a good part of the day, and the breeze is fantastic. I want furniture comfortable enough that I could fall asleep on. I’m not worried about functioning for eating or anything, but I’d at least like seating for 2. A hammock would eat up all my space with the stand, so that’s the only no go I have.
Any ideas?

I like those wooden steamer chairs – the kind you get on cruise ships which you can use like a chair or a recliner and really lie back and relax in the sun. Get folding versions so that you have more space when not in use.
The most important thing with any furniture you buy will be the patio cushions – the depth and quality of the cushions will give you comfort while the design will give you the attractive look you are seeking.
No use having beautiful furniture and then covering it with cheap patio cushions.
You can buy these in all colors and patterns to suit your taste – but nice and deep will mean that they are super comfortable on hard patio furniture.
I know most people don’t like wal-mart, but I have bought and love this set

Some of the cushioned chaise lounges have backs that lay down flat, in that position they act as a be bench or cot. The recycled resin ones are the most cot like. The deep seating sofas will work also if your budget can stand the higher price points. Do a search for chaises at Patiostore.com
http://www.yardenvy.com/hammock-chairs-swings.asp offers double chairs at the bottom. Hammock chairs and swings can be hung from balconies and work best when space is limited.
Hello
Congratulations on your new balcony, they can really help an apartment go from great to fantastic! I love this Mandalay Chaise from TheFurnitureDomain.com http://www.thefurnituredomain.com/lf-27025019135.html It is a high-end piece, but it’s wonderfully made and just simple and gorgeous to look at. I hope you love it as much as I do!
I don’t know if you are allowed to attach eye hooks to your ceiling (if you have a ceiling on your balcony), but we bought this Swingbed from CedarStore.com and also a cushion for it. It has to be be one of our best purchases ever!
