I’m very skeptical about covering my entire body in avatar blue latex paint, so I have a few questions for those who have used it before.

Will the paint rub off easily by touch, sweat, sitting on bar stools, etc?
Will it stain my skin?
What is the BEST brand to use? (price doesn’t matter)

Please share any thoughts about latex body paint that you think someone should know (esp when I’m covering my entire body with the stuff…)

I need a little help choosing a paint color. I’m not looking for anything extreme, but I also don’t want a basic white/off-white color. Here’s a little background on my furniture/other accessories:

I have one large room which will be a living room on one end, and a dining room on the other end. I can divide up the two rooms by color, as well. My two couches are a light tan color with dark espresso wood legs. Also, the remainder of my wood furniture in the living room area (media tower, barstools, coffee table, end tables) are all the dark espresso finish. The only color I have for this space are red throw pillows and a red lamp with brass features. I was originally thinking a deep gray would work, but I’m not so sure. I can also buy other paintings/accessories to tailor to any wall color, as long as it goes with my existing furniture.

For the dining area, there is a bit more color. I have the same color scheme in the furniture (light tan cushions on the seats, dark espresso coffee table and bar). I also have red, orange and yellow in my accessories and art (orange and red in the main painting, red vases/glassware on the bar as decoration, and an orange table-runner with brown and tan candle assortments in a centerpiece). Any suggestions for this part of the room?

The only color I’m adament about staying away from is yellow, and I’d prefer for the color to not be too deep or too bold, unless it’s just an accent wall.

I have in stock 1000s of rawhide chandelier shades in 4 styles and hundreds of stock table and floor lamp rawhide shades in stock in a warehouse in Florida. I’m looking at putting everything up on ebay to boom sales and want to find an experienced consultant to guide me in doing so.

ok me and my husband are not the cleanest of people. we just had a baby when we moved into our side of the duplex a year and some months ago. We brought small cockroaches with us in our appliances since the apartments we lived in were infested with them. The duplex we live in now has no washer and dryer or hookups, no stove, and a fridge with a leaky freezer. We can’t do our laundry all the time since the laundry mats are expensive and our money needs to go towards things for the babies. We have two kids now. So our laundry piles up and we have a lot of boxes and our kitchen isn’t the cleanest. We have roaches everywhere. There is a nest in every dark place. We are in the process of duct taping all our boxes completely so roaches can’t hide in there and i made a baking soda sugar and water paste. And we will be getting as much of our laundry done as we can afford. worth of loads.

My biggest question is how well does a boric acid killer work and a borax killer work? Will it get rid of all the roaches we have and the nests? To describe the amount of roaches we have, we have a very small foot stool made out of wood that folds up. I shook it and more than 20 roaches were knocked off. And i see about 20 roaches crawling on our walls a day in broad daylight.

I know there are countless variables in a firefight, including luck. But I’m writing a story of sorts in which the protagonist gets in a firefight, and I’d like some feedback on the realism of this situation anyway, even just a rough guess on whether it’s realistic or not. I’m particularly interested in the opinions of self-defense experts, cops, or anyone else with knowledge and expertise on close-range urban firefights.

Okay, here’s the scenario:

There’s an alleyway, which leads into the back entrance of a strip club. Three bikers are in the narrow alleyway, maybe a dozen are inside the strip club. They have handguns, but they’re concealed (not drawn - except for one biker in the alley, who has a Colt Python held CASUALLY at his side), and they’re not all that organised or prepared.

The protagonist exits the strip club into the alleyway with his Glock 17 drawn. One biker is next to the entrance and tries to knock the protagonist out with a punch; protagonist (who is well-trained) sees it coming in his peripheral vision, steps back, and within a couple of seconds shoots all three bikers with rapid fire.

The protagonist then spins around, runs a couple of metres into the strip club; a biker and a patron are fighting (the patron is unarmed and the biker has a glass bottle which he is swinging); the patron kicks a chair at the biker, and so the biker is distracted, allowing the protagonist to squeeze off four more shots. At least one of the shot hits the biker in the back of the head.

The protagonist uses up the rest of his magazine laying down suppressive fire while he and the patron escape, forcing the remaining bikers behind ‘cover’ - a stage, a bar, and a few chairs, which the 9mm bullets are capable of penetrating with no problem.

Realistic, or no? Would the protagonist and patron have a good chance of survival?

I was drinking in a bar and I tried to explain my ideas about Israel. I was called a racist. truth be told I am not, I just don’t believe Israel should be allowed to behave as they do. Long story short, the man punched me in the face and called me a racist then he fell out of his chair and went home. And I am the bad guy? what do you guys think?

So went downtown last night to chase some broads. When I got to this new bar which opened right in the middle of the strip. I walked in without paying attention too much to the cluster of guys outside, since it was kinda early. I got to the bar and noticed that there weren’t very many women in there, and the ones that were taller than I like for the most part.

After sitting in there for about an hour I was getting pretty tired of the disco music and was getting ready to leave, until I realized it was a gay bar. I didn’t want to leave right away and appear prejudiced, so I hung around for a while. I have to say this was the cleanest bar I’d ever been to. The guys there were really particular about how the furniture was arranged. I must have had a half dozen guy ask to push in my stool. I thought it was leaning back a bit, but no more than a couple feet.

I just decided to leave after that and got up to use the restroom before I left. There was a bit of a line, but it moved relatively quickly. I was going to use a stall, but there was a hole in between the stalls (which I thought odd since the place was new). So I used the urinal and the men’s room attendant came over to help me shake off, which was weird but since I am not gay I guess I wouldn’t know the customs. It was an unusual experience to say the least.

All in all I can say I won’t go back, but it was kinda fun. Are gay guys usually this particluar about feng shui?

We recently got a 40 years old house. The house is unique and we love it. We want to redecorate the enclosed patio. The previous owner had the walls stains and the carpet is red. It has kinda old look. I want to paint the wall and change the carpet. I want some thing like dark green in the stain and still the brown stain should show from beneath. How do I do it?

What kind and color should I buy carpet?
