I was drinking in a bar and I tried to explain my ideas about Israel. I was called a racist. truth be told I am not, I just don’t believe Israel should be allowed to behave as they do. Long story short, the man punched me in the face and called me a racist then he fell out of his chair and went home. And I am the bad guy? what do you guys think?

No. If you’re antizionist you’re antijewish, since Israel is the jewish country. Wouldn’t it be racism if i said "I don’t hate italians, but Italy hasn’t right to exist"? Being anti-zionist and saying "I’m not anti-jewish!" it’s hypocrisy. However, if you just don’t approve israel policies as i do, you’re not antizionist. And anti-zionists can’t decide if Israel can exist or not. It’s my country, i was born there and I’ll never move. I feel sorry for palestinians, but i’ won’t give them anything but peace and an eventual country. Now this land is called ISRAEL and i don’t care if you don’t approve it, cause UNO did. I’m not a murderer, maybe first zionists were, but now it’s my country and i’ll defend it any way i can.

To many, the term "Zionist" has become a code term for Jews. To others, such as former Klansman and neo-nazi David Duke, attacking "zionists" is socially and politically acceptable while attacking "Jews" is not, yet he clearly is a racist and a bigot.
It is definitely possible to be anti the policies of the Israeli government and not be anti-Semitic.
However, the terms "zionist" and "Jew" especially among is the Muslim world, and among the left and places such as Europe, and far right, are being used as one and the same more frequently.
To play it safe, keep the term "zionist" out of your discussions. Just say you are opposed to Israel’s policies.
BTW if you could explain your definition of what an "anti-Zionist" is it would really help.

Yes, it is possible. There are many Anti-Zionists that aren’t anti-Semitic; however, I do have to say that it looks like the Anti-Zionist lot is plagued by anti-Semitic feeling.
As for you being in the wrong, I have no idea exactly what you were saying. You could be right; or, he could’ve been so drunk that you were perceived as a racist. Of course, depending on what you did say, you could be a flat out racist.
