No, a lot of people incorporate them together, but they are not the same. What is similar is that both often favor a lived in look, but country can be done in a more crisp and clean way. When you think rustic, most automatically think woodsy, but that’s not always the case either. Rustic can be a distressed piece of furniture, or aged antique. What I love about interior design is that you no longer have to stick with one theme (My lord, did you see that Mildred put that queen anne writing desk in her contemporary living room!) Placing eclectic items in a cohesive way is more representative of talent.
I’d say no. Country is frilly curtains, fabrics like gingham or prints with flowers or cows on, varnished wood, braided rugs. Rustic is log furniture, no rugs, unfinished wood.
i don’t think they’re the same. to my country is sort of farm looking but usually still new and fresh, but rustic is more weathered and old looking, but in a decorative way.
No. They are very different. Country think "farmhouse and gingham curtains." Rustic think "log cabin and burlap curtains."
no they are both different.
