My baby fell and bumped his head?
I take my son to work with me he is about to turn a year old so hes getting into everything. We set up 2 chairs in between a few desks to keep him from coming over and pulling on cords. Well he got through and when i set him back on the other side of the chairs he lost his balance and hit his head on the meddle support bar between the 2 legs of the chair. He got an instant dime sized bump on the back of his head that is already bruised. He is acting perfectly normal and went right back to playing, however as a new mom im terrified of this bump. Will it be ok, because he wont sit still enough to let me put an ice pack in it. Should i leave work and take him to the Dr.? or just let him be? Thanks for the help

My son is 10 1/2 months old and we just had our first goose-egg head bump experience last week!!! My son fell and hit his head against the edge of our entertainment center. Immediately a goose-egg appeared along with a bruise. Of course I panicked!! I called the doctor (it was late at night) and he assured me that unless the swelling was the size of a baseball and he wasn’t acting strange to not worry about it (seems a little extreme to me, but I got the point). He said if you can to put ice on it, but if he won’t sit still for that, not to worry. The doctor said it could take a few days for the swelling to go down, and a few weeks for all of the brusing to disappear. The swelling was gone in 3 days (the major bump was gone by the next morning) and the brusing was gone within a few days after that. Your son should be just fine! If you still are unsure, don’t hesitate to call your doctor, that is what they are there for!
Unless he is acting strange or lethargic, he’ll be fine- This happens all the time- and will probably happen again.
As long as he isnt acting strange he should be fine, kids bump their heads all the time they are tough!!!
He’s fine.
This is the first of many, many bumps on his head. Just wait until he starts walking! He’ll have bruises from head to toe.
If he’s acting perfectly normal then he’s fine.
Did the bump pop out or did it go in. if it came out he is fine and you just need to keep him awake. As long as he is not acting like its bothering him I wouldnt worry. try to put ice on it ieven if just for a few min.
Nah my 9 mo old is CONSTANTLY bumping her head she is trying to walk and falls into our concrete table and foyer floor!!!
I hate it but shes to the point she wont even cry so she is trying to learn its going to happen a LOT !
