There are two squirrels who come into my patio, and they like to climb on the patio furniture, rip open the cushions, and take out the bedding. I have since taken all the furniture and put it away in the garage..I would like to have my patio furniture back.. Does anybody know of a way to stop them from destroying the patio furniture.. With out disposing of the squirrels.. Anybody else ever had this problem? THANK-YOU.. Have A Good Day

Chinchilla Info, Please Read!?

I am reasearching about chinchillas so hopfuklly i can get one if my parents allow it but I want to make sure i know every thing i need too.

for cages, you need a 3x3x3 or bigger and there has to be shelves for jumping but not to far apart. also it would be good to have like a hommok in the middle if its tall in case it falls. everything in the cage has to be metal or wood but NO PLASTIC! you need a solid floor and the space between bars cant be to big. it needs alot of wodden toys to play with and chew on for boredom and to ware down teeth. line the cage with fleece or wood shavings (specific kind but i cant remember right now) and clean once or twice a week. they should have a wheel or saucer.
the temp must be around 70 degrees F or 22 degrees C.

it must take a dust bath every few days or so and it has to be quality dust (cant remember the names right now but start with blue)

for food you cant feed it any treat except for once in a while and it cant contain sugar. it should have unlimited timothy hay and water and good quality pellets. the water has to be bottled or filtered and NO tapwater. chage the food and water every day. water should be in glass bottle outside the cage and the food should bein a sturdy bowl.

they need about a hour for playtime outside the cage every day and the room has to be chin proof. hiding all wires, plasic, walls, and furniture you dont want chewed on.

i understand that they can be pricy to keep such as toys, food, cage and themselves. also you need to find an exotic vet but they dont reallly need to go alot and they dont need shots.they have no dander so people arent allergic but can be allergic to the dust or bedding for example.

for boys you must check for hair ring and girls can spray urine at you if mad.

you should check weight every week for a difference. if it looses more then 20 grams somthing is wrong. take to vet. if it stops eating it may have a tooth problem. if it starts biting at its fur or scratching somthing is wrong. if its ears start turning red it is getting too hot. you must have air conditioning. you also must have part of the cage with a sturdy soft bottom so theyre feet wont hurt and they can rest.

if i missed anything important could you PLEASE LET ME KNOW. i am willing to do all that if i buy one. if i showed my parents this do you think they will say yes if they dont have any other reason? i found some chinchillas and cage on the internet for a low price and looking for good vets too and money isnt a problem with my family.

How should i decorate me bedroom/ideas?

My room is painted a lovely bright blue- alice blue and has medium hardwood floors. It is a mediumish sized room, with two windows and a large closet. My bedding is blue and brown with polka dots, but my walls are bare. I want to change my furniture but save money- maybe refresh it. Painting it wont do though, none of the pieces of furniture match and my bed is my bed from when i was little, so it has high bars at the ends. Any ideas on furniture or decor?

I need to decorate my Pueblo style home. I’m looking for all Southwest colors furniture and rustic and Mexico items also. Each of my bedrooms is a different color. Also looking for colorful bedding, wall hangings, talavera items….etc. If you have any ideas please let me know. I have a beautiful Pueblo style home that needs to be furnished. Thank you!!

Okay, let me give you a little detail on what my room looks like now, the size of it, what’s already in it, etc:
The size of my room is exactly 10 feet by 11 feet 2 inches (I’m in an apartment).
The things already in my room are a brown oakwood dresser, a matching nightstand, a double slider window with that little bar at the top, a silver TV stand, a protruding heater, a built-in double door closet, a queen sized bed with no slacks or nothing, it’s just sitting on the floor. Oh, and there’s this little wall when you come in my room about the length of one of my arms (I’m 5’8).
The walls of my room are all white with the exception of a few little marks and/or stains that unfortunately my younger brother put up when he was in here. Same thing goes for the cream-colored floor (I’m really looking for something that cover the stains.)

Now let me tell you what I’m looking to achieve after the makeover:

I want my room to look like something out of a better homes and garden magazine or something remotely close to it. Like I want the walls to be a bright white, the floor to be covered by a nice colored or patterned rug. I want some really bright curtains with some matching patterned bedding. I want like some really nice furniture coverings for my dresser and nightstand and stuff. Um, I want to be able to cover my walls in like some really pretty posters of people or patterns and if I can, I want to be able to hang like some little shapes or something from my ceiling. I’m also looking for a cute lamp to go in here too. Oh yeah, I have a lot of stuff in my room everywhere (tons of shoes, clothes, makeup, etc.), so any cute stylish storage suggestions would be nice too. And anything else that could really set my room off as lovely and beautiful would be grand.

Oh yeah, if you haven’t noticed, I’m a little bit of a pattern and color freak :)

If it helps, my favorite colors are royal purple and cerulean blue.

Thanks In Advance For Your Help!

P.S. I don’t have a lot of money like that so if the suggestions could be low-price, that’d be even better.

can anyone help me with my guinea pig please?

I’ve had my guinea pig for a couple weeks, my friend gave him to me. I have a good cage, food, drink, hiding place, bedding and a pillow for him so that’s covered.
But he’s very anti social and skiddish. when ever i walk past his cage he flips out, i have to chase him around the cage to get him out, [he's fine once hes being held, though, kinda fidgety, tries to hide from me in the handkerchief i hold him in]
and right now i have him pinned in the kitchen [guinea safe] so he can run around [cause i read that balls are a BIG no-no] but he wont run around, he’s hiding under a stool and wont come out :[ i put his food and toys in there and i’m just afraid that he will be unhealthy or sad.
what can i do?

How awkward would this look?

I want to give my bedroom a makeover. My bedroom set is light oak and I have always stayed with the neutral colors or the earth tones for bedding and accessories because of the furniture. I want to do black and white. The main color would be white with black accents and black and white pictures or art on the wall. My question is would it be ok to mix like that? I have always been a firm believer to don’t mix black and white however I have so much wood in my living room and kitchen I have majority black furniture and it looks great but that is a more open area.

Oh and the walls are a light toupe color.

Need help with choosing colors?

Bedroom: So I have dark brown bed room furniture and blue sheets and bedding and blue accents and white walls. What other color goes well with these colors?

Living room: white walls, beige couch and love seat, black end table, tv stand, coffee table. What colors would work well with these?

Kitchen: Theme: apples. Red everything! White walls, light oak cabinits, white refrigerator and dish washer, red everything else.

Bedroom color scheme?

What is the best color scheme for the bedroom?

The walls will be white/off white and we cannot paint them. Our furniture is a dark brown.

We don’t want a blue/brown combination because that is the color of our kitchen and living room.

Thanks so much for your ideas and I would really appreciate links to pictures of bedding or bedroom decor!

I have a color picked out for the kitchen/breakfast nook. It’s Edgy Gold from SW. I need something for the family room and it needs to coordinate. I tried SW Anjou Pear and it’s too yellow, I’m looking for somthing more golden. What do you think of SW Golden Fleece or maybe Butternut. I wish I could post pictures so you could see the fabrics I choose for the windows. The have golden browns, reds and greens in them. We also have a stone fireplace so I don’t want to go too brown and have the fireplace blend in. One last issue is that it is open to the foyer and a hallway. I’m trying to avoid having a different color in each area. I did that in my last house and got tired of it. I want something that flows.

My next "problem area" is the master suite. I have traditional Cherry furniture with red & gold bedding and curtains. I’m thinking SW Svelte Sage as an accent but I’m stuck for the other 3 walls. I want something warm and the room is large enough to handle a dark color

What should i name my furniture rental company?

I just opened a furniture rental company for students and professionals. My company will furnish a whole apartment from bedroom, livingroom, diningroom. and additional furnishings such as kitchen utensils, pot and pans, bedding etc.

Im in need of a name for the company or some suggestions.

Please help

It’s not a question of "are we ready?" I know we are ready.

Here’s a bit of a back story:
Me and my girlfriend (Ang) have been together for 2 1/2 years so far, and thing (especially lately) have been going wonderful! We sat down and talked about this situation many many times before finally deciding it was time to look for apartments. We’ve straightened out money issues in advance, divided up chores, costs, and just about everything else. We ARE ready to share our lives with eachother, but my question to you guys is:

What should we be preparing for? We already know just about everything about each others living habits already, we spend nearly every night together already. I’m well aware of the fact that you wont simply see the glamorous side anymore, but EVERY side.

And I’m also aware that costs will add up quick for small things like food, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, shampoo, and those kinds of things.

But maybe there’s something I’m overlooking, which is why I come to you.

PS. We already have all the essentials purchased, bedding, furniture, kitchen supplies (lots of those actually, we love to cook together) etc…

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Corey

Me, my mom, and my grandmother have decided to upgrade the house I’m living in. We’re planning on getting a new carpet, getting new bedding, kitchen appliances, and I’m going to paint the house. Do you have any tips? What carpet company offers the best deals? What companies sell the best interior and exterior paints? Should I get new furniture? Rearrange my furniture? Do you have any helpful suggestions??? I’d like any help I can get, thx!

Decorating a fairly bright bedroom?

Alright, i really need help, because I’m really terrible at decorating.

My walls are a pretty bright teal.
Heres pretty close to the color (Sorry you have to go through a little to see it)

http://www.sherwin-williams.com/do_it_yourself/paint_colors/paint_color_palette/

Click on "Launch Color Visualizer"
Then Explore Interior Colors
In the Search for Color bar, put in Biscay. Also Surfer. And even Tempo Teal.
My walls are around those colors.

Now what I want to do is get a vintage chic type of room.
My furniture is all black.
Right now my bedding is black and white. But that can be changed.
I was thinking of getting a pale(ish) pink comforter. But what color sheets?

Then I need a little seating thing. I was thinking a papasan chair with a cream color cushion. But those aren’t really vintage looking are they? So what kind of seating thing would look kind of vintage? Also then on one wall I wanted to set up some shelves and stuff and have like a white rose thing going on there. Not real ones, just almost like a collection of a bunch of white rose type of things.

Then I need a rug! What color should it be?

And what else can I do to my room to make it look more vintage chic?

Thanks!
