How do I get cigarette stench out of recliner chairs?

My neighbor gave my brother and I his 2 La-Z-Boys. They reek of cigarette smoke because they’ve smoked in their house on these chairs for over 15 years. We have already tried washing them with soap and water, the baking soda cleaning, and letting them air outside. oh and they are upholstery.
They are just in too good of shape and look new so we don’t want to throw away some good chairs.

We loaded into the bed of the truck, and when we were trying to unload it, the surface of the table got scratched and I’d like to know how can I refinish it or fix it up to look less noticeablee. Along with that, I’d also like to fix the chairs. If you have experience on this, please let me know :) Thanks

I need to buy Mattress, bed, night stand, tables, chairs, bar, book shelf,…
I’m naive in buying these and don’t know how much to spend on them combined. I have around 00 cash and might finance some of them. I heard that I shouldn’t go cheap on these items cause they’re good investments.
Please give me your thoughts and suggest where I should buy them from?
I just read that LATEX Mattresses are good and I should buy them.
P.S. I live in MD close to Washington DC so please suggest stores close to there.

Many thanks,

I bought them in 1971, so they have lasted a long time.
At six dollars a hole, it just costs too much to have them recaned. Is there any way I could put padded backs in the chairs. I need a good idea from someone who has had this problem.

How can I keep people from stealing my chair at work?

I have been thinking lately about buying myself a nice quality computer chair for my desk at work. The chairs they supply us with have no arms and lousy back support, thus making my very uncomfortable. The problem is, the place I work is actually a ton of cubicles lined up. I have seen other people who have bought a nice chair for themselves, but when they have the day off or are out sick, someone takes their chair and uses it. To me this is really rude because these people don’t ask, they just walk right up to the absent person’s desk and roll their chair over to their cubicle. Often times the person comes back to a broken, stained, torn, smelly, or otherwise destroyed chair. If I am going to spend 0-0 on a chair, I do not want anyone to ruin it. What are some suggestions for making sure that people don’t use my chair without seeming like a selfish jerk?

I’m fairly certain this is a miku song. It’s a vocaloid video with animation. In it she stares down a black cat several times. At one point she sprouts a tail and ears. Then she rides the cat. There are also animated chairs at one point (the animation in the video changes).

Swollen Achilles Tendon?

A little over a month ago I was stacking bar stools on a table and one dropped not exactly on my achilles tendon but on the side of it where it kind of dips. One of the legs of the chairs landed on it. Well it hurt really bad and got really swollen (there’s no dip anymore, it kind of puffs out) and there is a faint bruise on it. It doesn’t really hurt when I walk but it hurts when someone hits it. It hasn’t gotten any worse or better. What’s going on?

I am looking to buy a chair to do onsite chair massage, I will be doing a couple of hours a week and want a good, sturdy, comfortable chair. The range in prices is so high, from dirt cheap to insanely expensive, and I was wondering what people’s experiences have been, what chairs are good, what to look for, what to avoid. Thanks for the input.

ok i have these new chairs and every time you sit on them and touch someone or something you get shocked. Also these chairs happen to be a favorite spot for our cats to lay on, so every time we touch our cats we get shocked. I don’t think the cats like to get shocked either. :) would tinsel help? What can i do to take the static out of the chairs? please help

The TV show is about the psychology of bars. There’s a guy who goes around to save bars by changing some things (ie- the level of the chairs makes for better eye contact). Anyway, it looks cool, so could you tell me the name of the show if you know it?

What to do about patio cushions and rain?

First time homeowner and first time with a real patio. I was graciously given a patio set with chairs, etc. and they have cushions that are not waterproof. Short of taking them inside or covering them every time it rains, are there any other alternatives? Such as something I can spray on them to waterproof them? Thanks!

Looking for a good site with a large selection of Japanese Zaisu floor chairs. Looking at both traditional and modern designs, so send whatever sites you might now of over.
Don’t mind if its a Japanese site, can even be in Japanese (thank you google translator), however, needs to be able to ship to a US address.

Thanks!

I want buy a decent leather desk chair for my dorm room, because the cheap, plastic, flimsy chairs they provide in the dorm rooms just aren’t cutting it for me. I spend a good deal of time sitting at my desk working on schoolwork and whatnot, so I’m thinking that a nice leather cushioned chair would be a good idea.

my mum whipped the leather chairs with shampoo?

is that good. i don’t think it is. we ran out of the actual stuff you whip it with so she used shampoo. i’m thinkin, mum wtf but they are her chairs so i’ll let her do what she wants
wow. this is the first time i’ve ever asked a question in this section.

I have to say that if I were an alcoholic (like my father) there is no way I could NOT realize something was wrong. He is an absolute drunk and has been since I was born (25 years ago) but he REFUSES to believe there is anything wrong with him. How can he not realize he’s a raging drunk? He falls asleep in bars, falls asleep in his car, falls off of chairs, forgets everything from the night before, has ruined his relationship with my sister and I and cheated on my mom due to drinking. WTF?
