I’m getting my house painted. I just received a quote. The guy told me 1 color was nice. Said others were nice 2, but wouldn’t coordinate w/ main color. The colors are Sherwin Williams Quixotic Plum as an accent wall in the family room and Mystic Mauve on the other walls. The main areas would be Latte. That’s where he said the clash is coming.
This is how downstairs flows: Entry way to a 2 story foyer Immediately in front of you on right, stairs. To the left formal area – living & dining. From that room, or a hall, you come to the kitchen w/ a bay eat in. All those wall will be in Latte. Then you come to the family room. The wall facing you will be Quixotic Plum. The others will be Mystic Mauve. His suggestion is to do it Latte and do the other formal room QP. (no furniture yet – wanted the formal red).
What is your opinion? Is 00 +200 4 paint bad? I’d say it’s 1300 sq ft area – plus upstairs hall. The trim would be white – said cheaper to touch up stairrail.
I didn’t like the MM, so trying exclusive Plum. it’s a shade darker. Also trying nomadic desert – 1 shade lighter than latte.

P.S.:
Mystic Mauve is a grayish-lavender – not pink @ all. Quixotic is a dark plum w/ a bluish-gray base. Latte is the color of the drink.

Kitchen remodel. Painting cabinets high gloss white, installing a shiny beige marble type tile for flooring, looking at a dark gray countertop. Also hoping to do 1 x 1 light blue glass mosiac tile backsplash and paint the walls a corresponding blue color. But not really sure if all of that clashes with the beige floor. Should I be going in a different direction? Also, the rest of the main floor is a deep gold tan with red accents and mahogany furniture. It’s pretty dark. Would the kitchen clash with the rest of the house? Opinions? The only thing that is definite is the white color of the cabinets and the beige tile floor, everything else is unpurchased. Thanks in advance!!

Add: The tan paint extends from the foyer, through the dining room and living room. The kitchen and half bath are the only things on the floor that aren’t the Harvest Brown. Can I get exact examples of a color choice for the kitchen? What about the half bath?

There’s so many different shades, I can never tell well enough to match. Right now my half bath is white, but I would like to paint that too. Should I paint both the kitchen and bath green? I’m kind of lost there too.

I’m putting in a wet bar and trying to think of something original to do. The kitchen color is Clary Sage, a Sherwin Williams neutral green. The living room is Relaxed Khaki, another SW color. I have cherry hardwood floors and white cabinets. A dark granite countertop is soon to come.
I want to put in a wet bar that would have a sink, dark wood cabinet doors, a granite countertop and a mirror with glass shelves to display glasses. Would a led-color shelf work with my current color scheme? Does the neutral / natural colors look clash with led accent lights?
Check out the link to see what I’m thinking (the shelves would be capable of changing to virtually any possible color, so i could adjust it to match the green I have). Is that too much? I’m new to the home decor thing, so feel free to be honest. I’m afraid I’m getting to into a cool idea and not going with what I should do.
