Okay, well today me and my mom decided I can move into the basement! Yay! So, I wanted to start planning. I don’t have a clue what to do. It’’s really dark down in the basement. Theres barley any windows just two in the laundry room. So, I wanted something really bright. But, not white because that’s boring. So, I have no Idea. I have some furniture but there white. So could you think of something that would match white desk and dresser? I would have to add a bar somewhere for a closet or something. I have a few drawers but I need a little room for a few dresses. I want a new bed comforter any way. And I can re paint it pretty much any way I want. I just need colors and themes for my new room. I can get like lamps and such too. But, nothing too expensive. Please help!

Why is patio furniture so dull in color nowadays??? Everything in in a non-descript greenish/taupish/beige color. It has no vibrance or cheer. I like the design styles of the furniture, but must everything look so dull? I like brighter colors–blues, yellows, pinks, etceteras…because after a long midwestern winter, I welcome the color! It makes me feel happy and the furniture doesn’t blend in with the landscaping to the point that it gets washed out. Does anyone feel the way I do? Any suggestions?

My Sweet 16 is almost completely planned and it is coming up in about 2 weeks. My theme goes along with that old saying “Dance like nobody’s watching, Sing like nobody’s Listening, Live like it is heaven on earth” We are doing it at my house but don’t get me wrong it is going to be huge and we have already spent +,000 on the Food, Decorations and so forth. We are moving all of the furniture out of the rooms that we will be in and there will be nothing in those rooms that isn’t party themed everything will be gone pictures, (except for a few special ones of me)nick nacks everything. I am doing Karioke and Dancing because almost all of my friends love to sing and who doesn’t like to dance (there will be about 40 people) My party colors are hot pink, grape purple with some silver accents. We are having a ton of food, I am doing a Candy Bar and we are basically just going to hang out. I was wondering if anybody has any other ideas for me anything at all Decorations, (it is semi formal) Fun things to have there for people to do or look at . . . You get the picture. Anybody? Anything?

We’re getting married this fall in this beautifully restored old barn. We’ve like to keep with the old, rustic, outdoor theme.

Any suggestions for good centerpieces that go along with this theme? Any colors are welcome as well so don’t feel like you’re confined to just brown, red and orange.

Getting ready to close on our first home.
It’s not huge, a nice starter home.
Has an eat-in kitchen. I really like the bar height tables and chairs and we’ve found a table we like that comes with two chairs and both rounded ends of the table fold down for space.
Q1. Would a bar height or standard height make the kitchen look bigger?

One of the first things on our to-do list is get the bathroom remodeled. A local contractor did my parent’s bathroom a few years ago and it looked great. We ordered a custom sized extra long and wide shower base and then had the walls tiled in 6inch tiles (pretty sure it’s 6"). The walls were painted Cocoa Mocha (a neutral creamy tan color). But the plans for this new home are to do it in muted blue colors-possibly.
Q2. What tile size looks best in a smaller bathroom? Should i look for more 6in tiles or go for the really small ones?

Any other paint/decor tips you’d like to share that worked well for you–i’d appreciate it.

I am moving into a home with a cute little side, covered patio. It is rectangular with several small trees on the side. Nothing special. Just some concrete and a wood cover. I currently own some nice deep green plastic chairs and a white bench with table. What colors would you recommend spray painting them? All the same color or separate? Dark wicker planters, stone planters, and a medium stone waterfall will be coming with me as well. Thank you!

I just brought a home. I am a diaster when it comes to color cordination and shceme. I need to know where can I get ideas or find an affordable interior decorater. I need to repaint my apt. unsure of the colors –landlord said cant paint whatever Id like. as long as i repaint it before I move. Bedroom: So I have dark brown bed room furniture and blue sheets and bedding and blue accents and white walls. What other color goes well with these colors?

I need help deciding on what colors to paint my house!
It is 3 bedroom, 2 Bath

I would like to paint my kitchen a yellow color, and have a butterfly theme. I would like to paint something purple, maybe the master bath and one spare bedroom? And I would like to paint the smaller bathroom and maybe the other spare bedroom a blue color. That leaves me the master bedroom, living room, and hallway. I was thinking a mocha color? i dont really know. Here is a sample of the colors that i would like to have:

i want different colours in different rooms. i’ve already thought of putting in a lite blu in the hallway and living, a dark purple in the media, a creamy wite in the family. All i have left is the dining, beds, kitchen and laundry. Wat colors??

DINING:
ive got mostly wood furniture - brown
and the room is pretty big.

BEDS:
there r 3 bedrooms 2 paint wat wud be best in all 3?

KITCHEN:
most is lite brown wood a bit creamy. All items (fridge cooker oven etc.) are silver.

LAUNDRY:
laundry is a small room. all items r wite.

my wife always complain. she looks for perfection all the time. she always complain about my characteristics and my ways in dealing with things. e.g before one houre i took her to her relative house and i stoped 3 meters next to the door but she complained about how far i stoped as if i wanted to give her hard time.

she focus on details while i look at things in general. if i find a carpet and find it lovely she says something like" you dont have a taste look at the colors look do not fit what happen to your brain…"

i admitt that she is good when it comes to chosing furniture and kitchen stuff.

when i try to chose anything for her like a perfume. she do not like it not because she does not love me but because she thinks that she knows better than me when it come to perfumes.

1-how can i deal with a woman who looks always for perfection in life style and people around her?

2-can this personality change through time or she will live all her live in this condition?
she was like that before marriage. if you want to ask me why i married her is because she treats me as a child.e.g she criticise my hair dress and fitness and this is enough for me to like her.
i love her and i am patient with her, therefore i am asking to change her personality and i believe in change. sometimes i try to be like her but i fail every time
