Alright.. where to begin? I live in a two bedroom apartment in florida with 2 other people.. each of us had a cat. Originally it was just the two kittens (who are now four months old) but then my other room mate brought home her mother’s cat when she moved. A few weeks later we started noticing fleas. So the kittens were dewormed and I bought a flea treatment for the kittens.. A month later now though, they have tapeworms again. I called the vet yesterday to talk about getting a shot for treatment but she informed me that it’s pretty useless before dealing with the fleas. I purchased a spray for the carpeting, furniture and baseboards of the walls..manages to apply it yesterday in the living room at least for the first time.. and vacuumed and disposed of the contents out in the dumpster in a sealed bag.. changed the litter boxes and wiped them out before refilling.. Here’s the real issue though.. my room mate (with the 3rd cat) is a horrible pet owner, really.. She barely pays any attention at all to her cat, and even though she has fleas.. has not brought her to the vet, combed her, or bathed her.. she rarely changes the litter box (I have to do it for her) .. and the damn cat isn;t fixed.. it’s a girl.. and mine are two boys 4months old.. Let’s make matters even more complicated still, she’s invited a friend of hers to stay with us for a few days now, with NO warning whatsoever.. not like I had an option to say no without being a total dick since he was already here with all his luggage and such. There just could not possible be a worse time for her to do this, really.. he seems like a polite person, but since he’s in the living room now.. I don’t know how I’m going to even begin to deal with the fleas.. The spray I have is toxic to inhale.. or absorb through skin or membranes.. so I have to lock the cats in the bedrooms to apply it in the living room.. and be sure to open the windows (we are on the second floor) to air out the apartment while it dries.. I don’t want to put off treating them any longer than I have to, since the worms in the kittens stools are about an inch.. inch and a half long! Gross, I know.. and I feel horrible about it, I really do. I want to give them a bath with flea shampoo I had purchased.. I may still do that anyway tonight.. and then apply the advantix (I think that is the brand) I got from the vet. It seemed to rid them of fleas for about 3 and a half weeks.. before I noticed them scratching again. I’m just really aggrevated.. I want so badly for her to be out of the apartment, or at the very least to be rid of her annoying, neglected siamese cat. Someone like her should not have a pet in my opinion.. there are many days she forgets to even feed her.. and so I do that too.. along with picking up after her hairballs, and cleaning the waste she leaves behind when she poos outside her box on the kitchen floor! I spend so much time catering after her animal.. and she KNOWS we have a flea problem, but she invites company over without even asking first. I don’t know if maybe I’m over-reacting.. but I don’t think I am.. I didn’t get the chance to tell her about the worms yet, I just noticed them yesterday morning.. I guess I’ll just text her that info. What should I do? I’m overwhelmed.. If I give them a bath with the flea treatment and then apply the advantix later after they have dried will it work okay? Or should I wait to do the shampoo and just apply the liquid treatment to the back of the necks on the skin? I need to at leats get them off of them so I can take them to the vet.. I don’t want to wait! But with the company here, I feel I have no option.
I just want to know if I’m going about handling this the right way.. or if there is something more I can do.. and if I should take the house guest into account here.

I took in a stray cat that had tapeworms. I took it to the vet to have it checked out, and she said it was generally healthy. The only known problem was the tapeworms that I’d noticed in its stool. She advised that I get an OTC tapeworm medicine instead of paying her high prices.

I gave the cat a tablet a week ago. I think it must still be infested because the cat is literally hungry ALL the time. As in, if I even go in the kitchen, it will run in there, meowing like crazy, making me trip, because it wants me to feed it AGAIN. It’s just not normal for a cat to eat this much.

I want to give the cat another tablet, but when should I? Should I wait a week or can I go ahead and do it today? Thanks.
I’d already checked the package, it said nothing about retesting. Yes, I treated it for fleas already. I’ve never seen a flea on it but I knew that if it had tapeworms, it has to have had fleas.
I forgot to mention that the vet didn’t think the had the other kinds of worms, but he was already treated for them anyway. She gave him that shot for free as a promotional offer.

He has never been like this. I got him a little more than a week ago. He sleeps in my room with the door closed so he doesn’t run off and do something… bad. So just tonight for some reason he’s almost literally bouncing off of my walls asking for me to open the door. I’m thinking he needs to go potty but we go outside and he doesn’t. We come back in my room and he does the same thing again. I’m very curious as to why he wants me to open the door so I just do it and he runs to the kitchen and one of his toys are on the stool so I give it to him and we come back. Nope…still a maniac. I tried giving him a snack, water, anything. My brother came home and walked him for like a mile and he comes back still as hyper. I have no idea what to do. He’s crazy whining and stuff. I don’t know what he wants!
Yeah I wish he could just tell me haha. He doesn’t have fleas actually we just got rid of them. And our vet appointment is tomorrow morning anyway. I guess i’ll see :/

I really dont know what im asking but ill explain. I bought a chihuahua on march 10th the people gave me a puppy pack which had a little heart worm pill in it kinda like his shot record and reg. application. i bought the type of food that they told me he had been eating. when i took him home he seemed fine he didnt eat much but he drank water and he was a little active. he chased my little girl through the house it was cute. well i went through papers and seen that his was born on jan. 18th 2009 and he had already had his 6 wks shots but there was no name written down as to who the vet was. next day he was a little less active and still not really eating, and i noticed he was having soft stool almost diareaha and spitting up like a newborn baby does so i tried to call the number for the lady i purchased him from and # disconected. on the 3rd day the 12th my little girl dropped him on the hard kitchen floor. omg i was so scared. he hit on his side and i held him a min. then put him down to make sure he was walking fine. a few hours passed and he still seemed fine but with the other prob. of not eating i said im bringing him to the local animal hospital. i went there and told them everything she said he has fleas which is making him anemic which i had made an apt to go to a vet on the 27th of march to get shots and to treat fleas and then she said his blood sugar low and never mentioned anything about him falling just stayed stuck on the fleas. they gave him a capstar checked his poo and gave him a cerenia injection which i did not understand most of what the lady was saying. she said to go to vet next day. so i bombed my house for fleas next day and took him to a vet he was still vomiting and soft stool. vet really didnt communicate with me much either but he check his poo again looked him over i gave him paperwork from the animal hospital gave him another cerenia injection and a droncit injection and some recovery rs food and told me to litterly force feed him with this dropper thing and gave him frontline plus. he said bring him back on 27th for other shots. im like confused really bc i dont know what wrong with my puppy and now he is constantly sleeping not walking around much or playing he finally drank water by himself today though he just dont seem right ya know. and he stoped vomiting until today he vomited clear liquid up a few times today. march 16th. which i know im gonna call vet tommorow and be like hey he still sick. but idk. can anyone help me and explain anything to me. i am so worried bc he just seem sad. his tale has not wagged since 1st day it stays between his legs. thanks.

My sister is a year and a half older than me, but acts 10 years younger. She is the mother of two children, recently separated from her husband of 8 years (he left her because of the way that she is). She is messy (never sweeps/mops, furniture is covered in food and stains, clothes all over the house. she always has at least 4 animals in her house and it reeks like litter, the animals also continuously have fleas and matting in their fur…it looks like an episode of Hoarders). She sits around all day and watches tv or sits at the computer. Only calls our mother or myself when she wants something (ie to watch the kids while she goes out to a bar or she needs money "for bills" aka booze/smokes) or to whine and complain about even the smallest issues. I try to listen, give her advice (especially when it comes to money management) however, if she doesnt like to hear it she will hang up. Recently, I have become engaged and am expecting my first child. She doesnt call with Big Sister advice or to see how i’m doing…instead, its more drama about her ex or her kids, etc. I’m fine without her advice as i have great support from friends and other family, but its very stressful when all i want is for her to be happy and not so….jealous. She exhibits all the signs of ADHD but thinks that nothing is wrong with her. Is there anything that I can do to get her to see that she needs help to be truly happy? Getting her to see a therapist is out of the question….Should I cut ties with her even if it means she won’t let me see my niece and nephew again? Please help.

My boyfriend and I have 2 female cats and we went on vacation and had one of his friends watch the cats for us while he stayed at our house. Well, we were gone for 10 days and came back to find out the cat had run off the day we left, but came back a couple days later. Evidently she brought back fleas but our friend didn’t realize it, so for a week, the fleas were laying eggs and breeding (in his defense, he works long hours and he only made sure the cats had food and water and that their litter boxes were kept clean). So, we came back and went straight to bed after our long flight back from Hawaii and then we had to go to a wedding the afternoon after we got home and got home late that night again. It was only the next morning that we were aware that there were fleas in our ho\
use, and quite a few. My poor babies, when I was petting them, had fleas all over. The cats are at the vets now and he said he’ll take care of their fleas, but we have to take care of the fleas in our house otherwise the cats will get reinfested. He said we either had to use flea bombs/ foggers or we had to have an exterminator treat the house. I don’t feel comfortable setting off flea bombs because I’m afraid I’ll screw it up and breath in a bunch of chemicals so I’m trying to convince my boyfriend that the extra money for the exterminator is worth it. They’re coming from Orkin tomorrow for an inspection/evaluation and I was wondering if anyone knew what a flea extermination would entail. Do they spray chemicals everywhere? We have some oriental rugs and hard wood floors, and since we’re still remodeling, we only have linoleum in the kitchen. What about our upholstered furniture? We have a living room and a den with couches and pillows. Plus our bedroom and the guest bedroom. I just would like to know what the general protocol is and what goes into flea extermination. Oh, one more thing, does it take more than one visit? And how much would I be looking at to spend for a medium sized house? I’m guessing definitely more than 0 but hopefully under 0. Sorry for the jumbled questions, but I would really love to know what to expect. Thanks so much.

There is a large colony of cats nearby who rest on all the porches. Some residents are very upset because there are fleas left on the patio furniture. Sure, it could be the wildlife, but they are blaming it on the cats. Is there anything I can recommend that they do/use to control this flea problem? I would like to help everyone involved.

This is my second "What does this dream mean?" Question.

Anyway, I was in a basement.quite small,but,it seemed ENOURMOUS. Why?i was equivalent in size to a pencil’s eraser.

I was not human. I was more of a cat-like animal.I was definetly a mammal,but i had pure white fur,and everything was tipped in red. I had cat like ears,a tail (only instead of it curving up like a U,it corved down like an n.)There were many,possibly two or three hundred of me,quite simliar.the difference was some had streaks of fur going over one eye,some appeared to have pigtails,etc.. all base colors were white,but a wide variety of tip color.

We were busily at work liek ants. Im wasnt sure what exactly we were doing,but we were collecting scraps of food.Then i realized a small windo,our only source of light that didnt do much.It was still very hard to see. I gathered everyone to try and jump up there. after jumping on much furniture(we were so light,we jumped as high as fleas) we reached teh window.It was slightly open,so we walked out.The secon i stepped out,we all fell over the edge,and hit -hard – against the floor.

Next thing i know we were walking along the gravel. Well,sand to you,but we were so small it was gravel.There were four or six train tracks.We were walking right on top of one.I was leading the way (we had NO idea what we were doing.)And then,we heard a rumble. We all jumped off the tracks.A giant piece of machinery (the train,but it was so big,you couldnt tell.) A ramp folded down.We kind of jsut looked at it blakly.We started to walk on.

We sat down on really tiny chairs. It hadnt occured to us that people (we lived on teh same Planet.Earth.) Coudl fit on thesemand they would be pointless to them.The train shrunk,faster than you can blink,And we were trapped in idividual cages.

A man,Who looked much like a ringmaster,the top hat and dramatic clothing,held us up.He smiled evilly and took off with us. I collapsed.

I woke up in a giant circus tent.Well,compared to the ringmaster,it was puny.I,was still in my cage,but i had something through my ear. A tag that said..Well,i dont remeber,but it was in the sixties. ANYWAY,Iooked up.There was a giant magnifying glass.My real self,the one that was sleeping,remebered flea circuses.Then my dream self,the odd creature,got the message.The man thought we were a breed of fleas.He was calling peopel to come look at us.

When i look back at te bars enveloping me,i almost exploded laughing! We were so small,we coudl slip right through the spaces!I put my finger to lips,and motioned everyoen to follow me.While teh ringmaster was turned,we sneaked away quietly.We went backstage,and were stricken with surprise.

Infront of us were ants.brutal,-rip-you-apart-so-we-can-eat ants.They were blood red,and hanging to the wall,Which had threads hanging down.My mouth gaped and we just stared.We couldnt get past.Then,teh weirdest thing happened.this is the first convorsatio ni had in my dream.

A girl creature of my type came up to me. She was tipped both pink and baby blue,one eye pink and one eye blue,and wore pigtails.

"I know how to get past them! " She said.
I let my head fall to one side.
"I read it in a human book.Soemthing about..(here she grabbed a thread)Gymnastics."
We all looked at her like she was crazy.She turned to the ants,and swung with all her strength.She kicked the ants off,and they fell into a bug zapper.She kept on swinging,and mentioned "Do the Tarzan!"Apparently we had heard of it before,so we went.We swung,and we swung,and we got across,.we fell into a soft bed of moss.We looked around.there was ponds,flowers,paths made by bugs,everything made for our size!Thats when everything started to fade.

Whenever a dream ends,I start to get pulled toward teh sky,and whatever characters that joined me would wave,and i could feel myself morphing into my actual self.And i woke up.

What in the WORLD did this mean ??!?!?!I bet nobody knows :[
You know, i always figured tehre is a meaning to it if it has repeated 14 TIMES SINCE CHRISTMAS.
