My 15 year old cat's butt is bleeding?

Please do not answer with taking her to vet, because I absolutely will be doing so tomorrow morning. I am looking for info for TONIGHT whether it be good news or bad.

She is 15 years old. I noticed a splash of blood on my kitchen floor and then afterwards found dried blood spots all over the house. Her stool is bloody, but otherwise normal looking and her appetite has not changed.
The only thing I’ve noticed is that she’s been acting out but now I realize it was to get my attention :( She still purrs when happy and may be a tiny bit more lethargic…but she still plays too.
Her butthole just seems to be bleeding. And not a lot but it does seem to be a constant small amount. It’s bloodied on the outside obviously and when she sits in one place for a few minutes sometimes blood appears on the spot.
What does this sound like? I hope to god she’s okay. But will be taking her to the vet to rule everything out hopefully and to get to the root of it.
Send prayers for my kitty, please :(

I think my cat is dying.. Help me please?

Me and my mom both think my cat got bitten by a snake. She has a bump about the size of a ping pong ball on her side and whenever we try to look at it, she hisses and swats at us then runs away. My mom said that since it’s been a few days, it’s not poisonous and won’t kill her, but my cat’s still acting strange. Every time I pet her, she’ll just sit there and glare at me and when I move my hand from her to stop, she scratches me on the face or hand. Also, she jumped down off the bar one time to a chair and I was on the other side of the bar and put my hand over the side of it [no where near her] and he hissed and swatted at me again.. Please help me? This is very unusual. My cat is very loving. She won’t even eat anymore. :’( I love my kitty and I’ve been crying my eyes out.. Any vets know what might be wrong with her? Or what I could do?
Without taking her to the vet.. I really can’t afford it no matter how much I wanna take her :( So anything I could do at home??
I can’t take her to the vet. It’s not possible.. I’m only 15 and we barely have a place to live. I really wish I could but I can’t. My mom said she had a dog and it had a bump about a week and it lived.. Could that be the same situation?

Our kitten hides from our family and we have trouble coaxing him out. We adopted him from whiskers. He was handled by a wonderful caregiver who cured him of respiratory problems as a small kitten. He is very shy. We have a 12 year old female who is pretty cuddly but hisses at the new member so we have been trying to introduce them slowly. They have separate dishes and kitty box. Our house can be noisy with kids over. We thought it might be helpful to keep the kitten in my daughters room with her at night and we have the litter box in her room and cat food until the kitten adjusts. My husband thinks that this is unsanitary and the food and box should be downstairs in the kitchen. However, when we bring the kitten downstairs, it seems afraid and wants to run and hide under furniture and not eat. How can we ease the transition for this adorable frightened kitten? we have only had him for three days. (christmas present for my daughter). The cat has been neutered and shots too.

how to make home safe for kitty?

me and my bf are about to get a kitty. we live in small place where kitchen and the main room are not separated; there are two pcs, souvenirs on low shelves and kitchen bar. we are afraid that a kitty could hurt his self by biting cables or throwing things on himself by jumping on selves and bar. how could we make our place safer for a kitty? or is it already safe?

I recently adopted a year-old kitty from a shelter. We already had a 7-year old cat, who is very friendly, docile and well-behaved. He has been with other cats before and is extremely tolerant.

The new kitty is boisterous and playful, which is accepted at his age. However, I am having trouble controlling him. He also hits the older cat in his playfulness. Some of these are severe scratches. The older guy only paws back in self-defense and mostly walks away from the little one’s assaults.

The little one also pays no heed to me or my husband – when we got him he was scared and insecure and we let him be for the first couple of weeks, so he could find his bearings before we imposed rules.

I really need to train the little one. We love his playfulness, but his bashing our older kitty is troubling us. We would also like to draw some limits (like he can’t sit on some of the furniture, or climb on kitchen counter tops and knock off food).

Any advice?

Why does my cat meow for endless supply of food?

I have a sweet, two year-old male/neutered kitty I adopted recently from the SPCA and named Phurba. Recently, I started feeding all three cats in separate rooms because Phurba would wander from bowl to bowl and push the other two kitties out of the way to get to their food. He was never satisified with the one bowl of food. Now that they are being fed separately, Phurba gobbles down his serving of food and immediately cries for more food. If I go near the kitchen, he runs ahead of me and sits my the food bowl and cries for food. He does this day and night.

The other two kitties are polite and they don’t take food from him or push him away, so he isn’t fighting with them for control of the food bowl.

He did have an infection for awhile and I was finding blood in his stools…this problem has since then cleared up with medication. Could there be an underlying problem? Is he just a little piglet? Could it be a shelter-kitty thing? Anyone have ideas?
I don’t neglect this cat or underfeed him. I do feed him extra food at times. I give him somewhat over the recommended amount for each serving. I also give treats and a tremendous amount of attention. He’s well-fed. He just can’t seem to figure out that he’s full. If I keep each cat bowl out in the same area, he will clean out each bowl before the others can eat.

I did take him to the vet, and I had him checked for worms. He’s fine. I take very good care of these three cats and will spend whatever I have to spend to be sure that they are healthy and happy. Each kitty is up to date on vaccinations and bloodwork too.

He is very attached, and he does follow me from room to room and always wants to be by my side. I wondered if the food thing has to do with his wanting to be near me or communiate with me, and when we are in the kitchen, he simply associates our interaction with food.

Or it could simply be a shelter thing. If he had to fight for food, it may have stuck.
And he isn’t fat. He’s only slightly overweight. He’s a little guy, but he does have a tummy on him. I want to keep him from becoming obese and unhealthy.
It may be interesting to know that he is the littlest of my three cats. Mallory is a 1 and a half year-old 13-pound Maine Coone (large breed), and she’s a polite sharer of food. Chloe is a small kitty who is 16 years-old and is a little taller than Phurba, but skinnier. Phurba is actually a small fry.
The other two cats would graze throughout the day and never over-ate. Phurba, however, will not simply graze. If Ieft food out, he would gobble up all of it–even if he wasn’t hungry. I want him to know that he food supply is always going to be there for him, but I don’t want him to overeat.
Thanks for all your answers…valuable information!

do these give u a good laugh?

THIS IS A LITTLE LONG SORRY
3 People in a Airplane-
Once there were 3 people in an airplane, one took a bite out of
an apple. She thought it was too sweet so she threw it out of
the plane. The second person took a bite out of a lemon and she
thought it was too sour so, she threw it out of the plane. Then
the last person took a bite out of a grenade and he thought it
was too crunchy so, he threw it out of the plane. Then they
landed and decided to go for a walk. They first passed a little
girl who was crying and they asked, "little girl, little girl,
why are you crying?" and the little girl said, "an apple came
down and killed my new kitty". Next they passed a little boy
who
was also crying. And they again asked, "little boy, little boy,
why are you crying?" and the little boy said, "a lemon came
down
and killed my new puppy." Then they passed a blonde sitting on
the side walk laughing her butt off. They asked, "why are you
laughing so hard?" and the blonde said, "I farted and the
building behind me blew up!!"

She was tired of everyone thinking that blondes were stupid, and she didn’t like all these jokes. To end the injustice, she decided to prove to the world that she was smart.

In order to prove herself, she chose to memorize the capital of every American state. It wasn’t an easy task, but she was determined and eventually managed to do it.

A few days later she was in a bar, and heard a couple of men laughing at a blonde joke. This was the perfect opportunity to start righting all the wrongs that had been done to blondes in the past – she would set these men straight!

Marching over at a rapid pace she announced,
"It isn’t true that all blondes are stupid, and I will prove it. Just ask me the capital of any American state, and I will tell you what it is."

Although a little surprised, the men did challenge her and asked,
"Ok, how about Arizona?"

The Blonde, after pausing for a moments thought, proudly gave the answer, "A"!

Question: If a blonde and a brunette fell off a building, who would hit the ground first?
Answer: The brunette – the blonde would have to stop for directions!

The assistant asked the blonde if she would like her pizza cut into six pieces or twelve.

"Six please" she said, "I could never eat twelve!"

——————————————————————————–

A blonde was walking down the road with a healthy looking pig under her arm. As she passed the bus stop, someone asked,

"Where did you get that?"
The pig replied,
"I won her in a raffle!"

A person went into the office kitchen one morning and found a new blonde girl painting the walls. She was wearing a new fur coat and a nice denim jacket.

Thinking this was a little strange, he asked her why she was wearing them rather than old clothes or an overall.

She showed him the instructions on the tin,

"For best results, put on two coats".

——————————————————————————–

Two blondes were in a parking lot trying to unlock the door of their car with a coat hanger.
First Blonde:

"I can’t seem to get this door unlocked!
Second Blonde:
Well you better hurry up. It’s starting to rain and the top is down!

——————————————————————————–

Three blondes were walking through a field when they came across a set of tracks.

The first blonde looked down at the tracks and said,

"I think they could be bird tracks."

The second blonde went to look and said,

"No, I think these are deer tracks."

They stepped aside and the third blonde went over to the tracks. She looked down, then got run over by the train!

——————————————————————————–

A blonde asked someone what time it was, and they told her it was 4:45. The blonde, with a puzzled look on her face replied,

"You know, it’s the weirdest thing, I have been asking that question all day, and each time I get a different answer."

——————————————————————————–

A blonde was driving down the road listening to the radio and was quite upset when she heard blonde joke after blonde joke. A little way down the road, she saw another blonde out in a field rowing a boat. The blonde stopped her car and angrily jumped out yelling,

"You dumb blonde bimbo! It’s blondes like you that give the rest of us a bad name! If I could swim I’d come out there and give you what’s coming to you!"

A blonde and a redhead went to the bar after work for a drink, and sat on stools watching the 6 O’cl

My shih tzu vomited about a week ago. He only did it once and seemed fine. Today I am wondering if he is either still sick or ill again. He was sitting with my husband on the floor, stood up and peed on the floor right next to him. He is mostly pottie trained as he has only had once accident in the house in the last month and that was becuase he was playing with 2 other dogs that are not normally here and so he could not hold it to tell anyone he needed out and that was over a week and half ago. Then my husband took him out this evening almost every 20 to 30 minutes because he acted like he needed to go and did. Then he had a loose stool accident on the kitchen floor.

The last 2 weeks I have been fighting a cold, but no upset stomach or anything of that nature so I am concerned and his vet is not open on the weekends. Is there something I can give him to ease his problem till I can take him. Any help is welcome.
Sorry I forgot to say that he is about 9 1/2 months old and seems to be eating normally, he might not be drinking quite as much as usual but is still drinking some. He is tired, but still plays with the kitty and will run up and down the hall, but not as much today as he did yesterday.

Is my cat sick?

My 3 year old male (neutered) persian cat is acting odd. He slept in the basement alone for about two hours this morning while I was upstairs. Usually he stays where I can see him, so I went downstairs to check on him. He kept on sleeping when I picked him up, which he usually doesn’t do. I brought him upstairs so I could keep an eye on him. He walked over to his food and water bowls and looked between the two for about 30 seconds before finally taking a few sips of water. Then he very slowly hopped into one of the barstools and meowed pathetically. I petted him and he gave me a lot of "kitty kisses" (his tongue feels normal). His eyes were watering profusely yesterday and he recently started having dandruff on his lower back area. While he was asleep I turned him over and felt his belly, which feels sort of "full" if that makes sense.
Two days ago he had quite a bit of milk. I was eating some Kashi Blueberry cereal and set the bowl down on the floor. It had milk and some
cereal in it. I don’t think he ate any of the cereal but he drank quite a bit of milk.
He is also walking strangely. I can’t really describe what’s wrong with his walk, but about a year ago his back (left I think) leg was inflamed and he had to take a pink antibiotic.
Does anyone know what could be wrong? Am I just overreacting to a normally active cat’s sleepiness?
I just looked at him again and he has some brown wax in his ears. I don’t think it’s an abnormal amount, but I don’t clean his ears that often so I really don’t know. :(
I just cleaned his litterbox and there were three "pee pads" in it, but no poop. I cleaned it yesterday at 12:00 and there was both #1 and #2 in it (but nothing abnormal). He sat in the car for about 2.5 hours yesterday (he is used to doing this and it was cool outside and he had water).
He just ate some food and is heading down to the basement (where his litterbox is) so I will update in just a second if he goes #2.
Yes, he went #2, which is something of a relief.
I think he is ok now. He is hyper and running around like he usually does. I guess he just had an upset tummy and after he pooped he was OK. However, if anyone else’s cat has gone through something similar, I’d love your input.
