My whole house is painted one color (which is a lite tan almost white). I want to repaint every room. – need some suggestions on colors. I have a living room with all brown leather furniture, kitchen with attached dining room black appliances with brown cabinets and table, laundry room, master bedroom brown suit, master bath, 6 year old girl bedroom with brown bed and dresser bedspread is polka dotted with yellow pink green blue dots and bathroom , and a band/computer room. Please give any suggestions that you have.

I’m afraid I won’t like wall color afterwards. Living room, kitchen and den share common wall. How do I break up areas?Enter large LR w/oak laminate floor to light tile floor and light oak cabinets in kitchen which is open to family room w/laminate floor.Living/family room have coiffered (spelling?..raised inset )ceiling. Everything is beige with white crown molding. Currently have white mini blinds on windows. No LR furnishing yet. Like country and cabin style but house feels too big (l800 sf) for cozy feeling. Light saddle colored leather furniture in FR. Where can I shop for normal not oversized furniture. I don’t know where to start. Looking for discount & inexpensive ideas too.

My living room and dining room is together. The larger area is the living room and the dining room takes 1/3rd of the space. My kitchen is partially open too and is just after my dining room. I have tan leather furniture in my living room. My dining table is medium light wooden color. I want my living and dining room to be the same color, however am not sure what color should the kitchen be. Should it be a continuation of the the liivng – dining room color or can I change the colors in the kitchen. I want to make sure my house looks bigger, and I am afraid that different colors may make it look smaller. Keeping the color of the furniture in mind, please do suggest what color can I paint my living/dining room and the kitchen to make my home look spacious. Thank you

my house has an open floor plan. the walls are a shade lighter than mustard yellow. my formal dining room is right next to the living room and it has traditional oak furniture and it has a buffet with a charcoal gray marble top. my hearth room is also next to my living room becuase it is right in front of my kitchen, which has stainless steel appliances and uba tuba (ooba tooba?) green granite counter tops along with cherry cabinets. The hearth room has contemporary black leather furniture and black glass tables.
how can i coordinate my living room to look good with both my traditional-style formal dining room and my contemporary hearth room.

We are getting new dark brown leather furniture. Right now I have dark brown window treatments and the walls are already painted a taupe color. What would be a good accent color to do the windows in and maybe the color of lamp shades?

I’ll be moving in a few weeks into a small-ish condo, with 3 large windows on one side. The kitchen, dining area, and living area is one big room, about 20 x 20. I’ll be buying some very dark leather furniture, and a dark colored dining-pub with chairs. Also, the hardwood is an auburn color, and the cabinets in the kitchen are sort of a medium-auburn color. Since this is all in one large room, what color should I choose??? I’m so HORRIBLE at this stuff!

I would have preferred brown leather pieces, but I got a great deal on the black set. My furniture is an expresso finish. I’ve seen this paired with black leather in other furniture (chairs and bar stools) and have seen a similar table paired with a black leather set and a rust colored carpet, so I know they can worh together, but dont know how best to "marry" the brown and black pieces. I’m guessing I should use throws and pillows, but not sure what colors would be best.

The sofa, loveseat and chair are black leather. Furniture is expresso. Walls are eggshell white. Carpeting is a taupe. (this is a rental so I’d prefer not to paint the walls)

What colors would be a good choice? Any suggestions where I can buy the throws and pillows?
Just to clarify the brown expresso furniture that I’m referring isn’t another couch or chair. The expresso pieces are wooden side tables, coffee table, and a tv stand.
