Okay so I have lived here since I was in head start…I am now on my second year of college…In 2003 we moved out our old house and moved a new one in to the exact spot the old one was…I never noticed anything weird go on until recently. Here a just a few things that I have noticed happen within the last few months:

One night my friend and I were watching a movie and it was about midnight, maybe one in the morning, and this extremely bright light came from inside the kitchen. It was storming that night and we thought maybe it was just lightning we seen but it only came from one spot and we would have seen that light come from the window behind me and the one beside my friend if it was lighting.

Another incident that happened was my mom was standing at the kitchen sink, I was stand in the middle of the kitchen at our island, and my sister was sitting at the counter on a bar stool. My mom looked up and in my living room (diagional to my kitchen) we have this picture of a old man and a little boy fishing and my mom said that she seen a head in the picture and it moved like someone walked by.

Another night my friend and I were walking through my kitchen and at a certain spot we both got goose bumps (cold chills) but it wasnt cold in the house. So we walked on through the kitchen and then went back to that spot and we got the goose bumps again. We checked and there wasnt a draft, no air was blowing, and the window wasnt open.

And the most recent thing happened today, my mom was doing laundry and she told me one of my socks was missing. She did wash both of them but she didnt know where one of the socks went. So later on I went to the front door and opened it to feel outside and to look for my dog and when I opened the door I looked down and my sock was on the front porch. I went to show my mom and she said she would swear on a bible that she didnt put the sock there to scare me. And we knew it was the right sock because it had the same smell as the other freshly washed sock.

Some little things that have happened are:

T.V. went off and came back on…it did that twice one day

When the computer screen is black (because it hasnt been used for a certain amount of time) it will for no reason just go back to the desk top

We have a water cooler and it sometimes makes the bubbling noise that you hear when you use it…when no one is using it

And I have walked into the kitchen at night and think that I have seen a person standing in my family room and I have to do a double take to make sure no one is there

So what do you think? I mean are there any logical explinations for these things that have happened? if you do think that my house is haunted then what would be the best way to communicate with the spirt so find out who it is? Sorry this was so long and thanks for taking your time to read it!

P.S. my grandparents (both are now dead) used to live at the house on a hill like 500 foot away from my home…and they both used to come down to vist us a lot…do you think that if my house is haunted its one of my grandparents?

My puppy has been having darker stools lately. His stool isn’t black but it’s a dark brown color and his poop is of a smaller amount then before. There are no traces of bloods or worms. He’s eating fine, drinking water regularly, and as active as can be – basically, he seems normal. Also, he goes to the bathroom less.

I switched him over to Innova Puppy. And yesterday, he jumped onto the counter and ate half a can of Spam. The stool was already dark before this incident though. (My mom feeds his table scraps occasionally. She promised she’s going to stop though.)

I’m taking him to the vet tomorrow. So my question is, how dark does a puppy’s stool have to be to be unhealthy?

His is a little lighter then the color of dark coffee, and around the color of brown coffee. I’m not sure if that makes sense so..

Since the picture is in the corner, my computer views it as black until I move myself to look at it directly. So I’m just saying, his stool isn’t black.
The stool is usually solid and at the end, it gets a little soft. Usually they’re in two pieces. No I cannot see any undigested food pieces. His butt seems fine and not irritated. He goes very easily. And Innova isn’t a dark colored food.

My husband and I are having an issue as to how to handle our friend’s children when they come to our home. We have no children and are not planning to have any. Many of our friends have kids and bring them along when they come to visit. Most of our friend’s kids are very well behaved but there is one couple friend of ours whose son is just awful. He will not listen to anything. His mom carries those mini chocolate bars in her purse and is giving them to him constantly while he is in our living room. He then proceeds to wipe his chocolate covered fingers all over our furniture. He plays our Wii all the time and holds the remote like two inches from the screen and doesn’t wear the wrist band (he has almost broken our television doing this). Last week, they came over and he was playing with an expensive vase that had been a gift from my grandmother. His mom didn’t say anything so I asked him to please put the vase down so he gave me this look and then dropped it on the floor; shattering it into a million pieces (btw, he’s 3) and his mom just looked over at me and said "Oops; sorry". My husband said something to her about it and she got totally offended and said "That’s just the way kids are; if you had any, you would know that". She told my husband that we are not supposed to be "parenting" her son. I didn’t think we were but are we not allowed to make rules in our own home? When we go to others’ homes, we follow their house rules and behave respectfully. Now, my question is; were we in the wrong here?

My mom’s deck is old but sturdy (she’s renting too)… but I’d like to refinish the deck in exchange for their rent remaining the same for two years….

Before I open my mouth… just how much work am I looking at and where can I rent equipment???…

Refinish a deck:

1. Use a hammer to refasten protruding nails.
2. Trim raised edges with a sandpaper block, electric sander, or plane.
3. As needed, clean gray or dirty wood with a solution of 1 cup bleach in a gallon of water. Apply with a brush or broom.
4. Use a pressure washer to clean the deck, being careful not to damage the wood with excessive pressure.
5. Apply stain or wood preservative following the manufacturer’s instructions.
6. Apply wood sealer following manufacturer’s instructions.

We have a slightly enclosed front porch, our front door is far inside a sort ceilinged porch, ilf that makes any sense. I am not bothered by them but my mom is very annoyed by the presence of the birds flying around inside the little area, sitting on our windchimes, sort of being unharmful pests. Is there any way I can just make them go away before my mom harms them?

I have to say that if I were an alcoholic (like my father) there is no way I could NOT realize something was wrong. He is an absolute drunk and has been since I was born (25 years ago) but he REFUSES to believe there is anything wrong with him. How can he not realize he’s a raging drunk? He falls asleep in bars, falls asleep in his car, falls off of chairs, forgets everything from the night before, has ruined his relationship with my sister and I and cheated on my mom due to drinking. WTF?

So, every year my mom’s side of the family has a mini family reunion (I say mini because only some people are invited). I have gone to these family reunions ever since I can remember, and, to be quite honest, they stopped being fun when I was around 13. I am 19 now and out on my own, and when I told my mom that I wanted to miss this one family reunion, she got really upset. The reason why these family reunions bother me isn’t a simple one. My entire family gets wasted every freaking night, except for me because I hate alcohol (my dad is an alcoholic). I’m always left by myself all week long… I sit there, completely ignored by everybody else. My mom’s family and I are worlds apart, and don’t relate to each other in any way. Not to mention, my family is so dysfunctional and my mother so warped, that I truly believe they just want me there so they can feel better about themselves (I’m the heaviest girl in the family, and my mother suffers from anorexia even though she won’t admit it). Basically, it’s just one big emotional mess for me. I alway end up alone and crying at some point on these vacations. My mom told me she would cry if I didn’t come, but I thought that was a manipulative thing to say. She also said it was for my Grandma… but if it were then why do they get drunk every night? She doesn’t like it either, and often goes to bed early or sits there in silence and engages in small talk with me from time to time (we aren’t close).
Also, I feel like I have a right to pass this up. I love my parents, and they do so much to support me, but they’ve also done a lot to hurt me. For example, my last birthday was a mess. My parents got drunk and, when I was upset with them, decided it was okay to go and hang out with my new neighbors without letting me know (I just got my own apartment.) I just went outside (where they were drinking wine and spilling it all over my deck furniture, and smoking cigars), and they were gone. No explanation. And after that my mom ignored me the whole night and refused to give me a hug when I was upset and crying.

So. Do you think I have a right to sit this one out for one summer, or am I being a baby? Again, I feel split because I love my parents when they are sober… they provide so much for me. But… I just don’t think my brain OR emotions can handle that. I need a break.

I just visited the Biltmore estate yesterday. And when we went to tour the basement my mom and I felt a Presence in the basement. I have looked up many stories, and all it says it that Presence are felt mostly in the Billiard room. But we felt it majorly in the basement and on the stairwells near the servant quarters. Also by the pool, it felt creepy, I could just easily picture people in the pool. We couldn’t get out of the basement fast enough. Is this part of the estate haunted?

so a couple nights ago i had this dream about this guy my friend likes. i used to like the guy a couple years ago but then i didnt see him since then and now i have two classes with him. i didnt think that i like him again, and i dont want to bc im afriad it will ruin my freindship with my friend who likes him. this is the dream:

i walked into language arts, where he sits behind me and next to my friend who likes him. my friend wanted me to tell him that she liked him for her while she went to the bathroom. so as soon as she left i passed him a note on my agenda that said " (my friends name) likes u". he didnt relpy at first so i wrote "soooo????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

and he said "im in love." and said "yay! im so happy 4 u and (my friends name)"

he took a LONG time writing and finally passed back my agenda and he had drawn a huge picture of hearts that had our names in it. i relplied "what?" and he just drew another picture like that 1st one.

then, he wrote "so will u b mine?" and i said "idk"

and he said "i really like u and ur the prettiest girl ive ever seen and i knew i liked u the second u walked in the room on the 1st day of school and i wish i had asked u out when u sed u liked me 2 years ago but i guess i lost my chance"

and i replied "i feel the same way about you and whenever im around u i feel so excited but shes one of my best friends and she wanted me to set u and her up and i dont want her to be mad at me"

and then he said "just in case u change ur mind just please give me ur number so i can txt u" just then my friend walked back into the room and the teacher grabbed the note and read it to the class, but i dont remember what happened.

then i was at my mom’s boyfriends house, but it was different and there was extra floor and i was in a room with a counter top, a bunkbed, stools at the counter and red lamps. i was talking to him on AIM and i gave him my number. i was wearing denim shorts and a yellow and purple shirt. i had just come back from the mall. my hair was up in pigtails, which i never wear. what does this mean? my sister says it means i like him but i wont let myself like him.

my cat just blew chunks over two of my mom’s nice dining chairs.
these chairs contain some silk and are very nicely upholstered.
how do we remove the orange-ish brown stains from the chairs?
will oxy clean work?

So I take off my nail polish with acitone. The only problem that I have is that when ever I start to take my nail polish off, I have to stop because my mom is so worried that I’m going to wreck her counter top, bar stool, or floor leaving me with only a few nails cleaned. What or where should I clean my nails so that I don’t have any chance of wrecking my moms counter, stools, or floors so I can clean all of my nails at the same time?

I’ve gotten a bunch of new furniture in my house in the past two years, including a new A/C unit that’s HUGE. This is all heavy, as the people who brought my TV stand had to wear these strap-like things on their shoulders to carry it up my backyard deck into the house!

The floors in my house are extremely squeaky! They’ve always been like that but I’ve never really cared until now. My mom knows my fear and says that the floorboards move, so they squeak, and that my dad will nail them down when we get new carpet so they won’t do that. But I’m not so sure!

If there are any architects or carpenters out there that can answer my question and keep me from worrying so much, that’d be great!

P.S. What about the A/C unit? I noticed that it’s connected to the siding of the house. Couldn’t that potentially rip off the side of the house and fall to the ground? Those A/C units are typically supposed to stay on the ground if they’re THAT huge!

I have a light switch over my kitchen counter near the dishwasher and Mom says it cuts off the power to the dishwasher. We both do not know why the builder put that there or what reason to having a switch for the dishwasher where we can simply turn it off on the machine itself. It basically disconnects the power from the dishwasher. But it’s located on the wall over the counter just like the sink disposal. Please give me a purpose for that switch.
