What bird did I see this morning?

I was driving to work this morning (about 7am) through a local neighborhood. There perched on someone’s patio furniture was a hawk of some type. It was very slim looking and about the height of a crow when perched. Its chest was pale with brown bars, the back was dark slate gray to black and head was a dark brown black. I live in South Central PA. Cooper’s Hawk?

Was this professional??

A home inspector came to my house today requested by the person who is going to buy my house. I was requested to leave and take my dogs with me for 4 hours, which was inconvienient, but understandable. When I got home, after toting my dogs around with me for 4 hours, I let them outside, and went back into the car to get my sleeping son, and found my dogs running loose in the neighborhood! He did not shut my gate back! Luckily after 20 minutes of chasing, I was able to get them back. Then, I walk back into my house. Every cabinet he looked in, pretty much all were wide open. All of my blinds in my house were all lopsided and pulled open all crooked. All of the my chairs that go to my table, and up agaist the bar were all in the middle of the room. Also, he left hundreds of black scuff marks and black footprints all over my freshly mopped ceramic tile floor! It just seems to me, that he should have left my house as he found it. He is lucky my dogs did not get hit by cars. So Careless!!!!
He also left the toilet seat up as well, which makes me think he used the bathroom while he was there! Yuck!

The neighborhood is rife with cats & all of them want to mark my patio as their own. Some of my furniture out there isn’t the stuff you can just hose down either. Any suggestions that don’t include anti-freeze or a pellet gun? Thanks.

I’ve downloaded sims, they download like any other piece of clothing, objects, furniture, whatever.
but I can find those other things, I just have NO IDEA where the sims end up in the game after they are downloaded.
I’ve checked in the peoples bar, where the families are put when they don’t have a home yet, and it’s not there. Where do they go? Is it a certain neighborhood that has them?
how do I do this correctly?
and while I’m at it, same with lots. Where do they go?

We have a wonderful little bar a couple of blocks out of the way, in a downtown neighborhood that eventually will be upgraded (Investors have now bought older, commercial buildings all around it)…we do not serve much food–hot dogs, chili, quesidillias, etc because there is no proper kitchen or any opportunity to expand like that…word of mouth has helped, but no one wants to walk out of their way….

I already have the signs and flyers around the neighborhood and the ads have been placed in the paper and on the web. I need to know about what tends to sell, the best way of placing things on the lawn and driveway, and ideas about pricing and negotiating. I’ll have some good furniture, some clothes, some kitchen stuff, and a saddle and tack. I will be choosing a best answer, so thanks for your time!!

I need advice……..?

The first night of asking for space my girl changed up. Firstly, she left work early. When I wanted to surprise her at the end of her shift (I always go and put up the bar chairs), she closed up and was already gone. Second, she didn’t have plans of going directly home- she honestly had plans of going to the bar to meet up with an old male aquiantance from her neighborhood. But when we were together everyday, she stopped going to the bars and she always wanted to be under me at my house. Then came the calls and text messages of many dudes that seeped into the relationship 6 months in and it stunted anything we had only because she was talking to them the entire time without me really knowing about it. Any female that I talk to, I let her know about them up front. I already had trust issues, it just came to pass that something didnt feel right. She says she loves me, but I honestly feel that she is just in love with being in a relationship…… any advice or suggestions ?

How does this sound for a novel?

I felt like my life was over as soon as I walked in that party…..I know it sounds melodramatic, probably because I’m being so vague, but I really did. Some how I knew something bad was going to happen that I couldn’t stop.

Last year, I had moved out of the foster home I had been living in since I was 10 into a ritzy neighborhood in the Hamptons. You could say that I was terrified…that would be an EXTREME understatement. But I got over it. It’s easy for me to deal with change because when I was 8 my whole family was in a car accident. I was the only one that made it.

So, having no power over where I was going to go, I moved to East Hamptons, where the rich, influential, and snooty live. My new parents are nice; more than nice, they are what people in foster care system dream about, just because I am 16 and very few people like adopting teenagers. They own a large ferm. I don’t really know what else to say about them.

It’s probably best to explain what happened before The Party. First day of school. Nobody talks to new girls, especially a new girl who doesn’t know anyone. So there I was, Tiffany Wood, standing in the hallway of this prestigious school that my parents had payed so much to get me into. As I walked, people walked past me as if I wasn’t even there. That is the only thing worse than being talked about or being picked on. The bell rings. I slowly prosseed to walk over to AP pysics, my first class.

I walk in, and nobody says a word. Slowly, I walk to the teachers desk.

“Um, im Tiffany. I’m new…….” I say, then wait for a response.

The teacher, a young tall, super model-esque man looks at me threw his glasses, then looks down at his vintage Rollex, and points to a seat. I walk. I look for the customary public school stool, but find a cushioned bar stool, complete with swivel….I guess this place is going to take a while to get used to.

The girl in the seat next to me glances at me, then looks away and laughs. I’m not ugly or anything, but I’m not exactly what you call super model beautiful either. So, I sit and start taking notes…..but it is too dull…. I guess even private school is boring. So, I look around at the people. All have freshly manicured fingers, beautifully styled hands. If I didn’t know better, I would say they all looked like royalty…well I guess they are. Hampton royalty. The front row has a petite blonde girl sitting next to a large, obviously football playing, guy. They’re a couple. I just know it.

The front of the room is boring me. Now, I’m not looking for guys or anything, I just want to see one friendly face in this place… but even after I look at “the nerd”, not one person smiles or looks at me. It’s like I’m a glass fixture. There, just see through. The bell rings.

I am the first one to get up, because I didn’t have my stuff out in the first place. I walk threw the door, only to run right into a handsome, tall, blonde boy.

“ Oh my gosh, I am so sorry,” I say as my eyes water from embarresment, “ lemme get out of your…sorry.” People begin to shuffle by, saying hi to the blonde boy, as we both pick up out things. I begin to mutter one last sorry, and I start walking. Like he’s gonna talk to the normal looking adopted girl who nobody knows. And he’s obviously very popular.

“Wait, are you new?” he nonchalantly says.

“Yeah, I just moved here from….not here” I’m to embarrassed to say that I’m not rich.
“Cool, I guess. I’m Connor. Connor Alexander.” he flashes his beautiful white smile at me. For a moment, I am so stunned that this popular, hot guy is talking to me. Is this a joke? Nothing like this ever happens to me.

“Hi. Tiffany Wood….I mean I’M Tiffany….ugh sorry….hi. I’m Tiff.” I settle for my childhood name, even though I never really liked either of them.

Laughing, he says “ ha-ha well have a good day Tiff Wood. Catch you around?”

“You know it!” I then realize how childish I must have sounded, and abruptly smack myself in the face.

~this is just part of what i was thinking about. maybe the first chapter.please tell me what you think about it :)~

Here’s mine:
I took a transsexual into my local neighborhood (Cheers type) bar on the way back from a more tolerant nightclub because we were hungry & nothing else was open & I knew they sold slices of pizza. Everyone in the bar knew me alot of them were neighbors. The two of us were worst than completely shitfaced. We ordered a round of beer & a couple slices of pizza & then she starts dry-humping me right there on the bar stool while everyone stared at us (they all looked horrified). The bartender asked us to leave as soon as we got our pizza (he was literally shaking!). This was 5 years ago… I’ve never been back in there since.
-If you beat this story, then you are the winner! I’ll leave this open for a couple days.

please read and tell me if this is good!?

I sat down on the bar stool again, and grabbed my cell phone out of my pocket.
I dialed my dad’s number, and after the 3rd ring, I shut the phone. I wasn’t going to talk to my dad tonight. I was too much of a baby.
I walked out my house, and took a walk down my neighborhood. Every ones’ house was filled with lights, unusual. I thought. Who has their lights on at midnight? All of them?
I shrugged and closed my eyes. Tonight had a cook breeze, and it ruffled my hair. It felt good against my face, I stopped in my place, letting the air whoosh by me.
This moment was painless, and I never remembered anything that had happened over the past months or weeks. Everything was forgotten now, all I knew was that tonight felt good, and I didn’t remember a thing.
I spread my hands up in the air, and let the air hit them too, this was better.
My mind swirled with pictures of my family, Kimberlee, Grandma Annie, and finally; my mother.
I saw my mother’s face. Exotic and beautiful, she had bleach blonde hair, and it hung all the way down to her butt. She had blue crystal eyes that shone every minute of every day, and she had a flawless face, that was as pale as the moon. She had long black lashes that made her look like she was always wearing eyeliner. And, she didn’t have one wrinkle on her face.
I wanted to look at this memory forever, I wanted to look in her deep eyes, and remember everything we use to do together. How we used to make daddy pancakes, and feed them to him as a joke. And how we used to go shopping for daddy…..
No! As soon as I thought of my dad, mom’s picture disappeared and dads appeared. His dark black hair was shining, and his teal eyes looked like they were looking at me. His tan face was wrinkled and tired, but he still looked beautiful. We were such and exotic family.
“No!” I cried out. I wanted my mother back so badly; I wanted her to hug me again. And I wanted her to be here for me. Why did she have to leave me like this, alone and tired. I wanted my mother back, I don’t care if I was the reason she left. I don’t care about that! I just want her back, please just give her back to me!
Tears fell down my cheeks, and my eyes flew open. My hands were still up in the air, catching the wind as it went by. No, it wasn’t tears, it was rain. It was pounding on my head, and stinging my face. When did it start raining? I thought.
My hands fell to my side, limp. I turned around with not one thought in my head, and headed back to my house.
When I walked in the door, Kimberlee and Leo were sitting on the couch, with a bowl of popcorn and the TV on. I could hear screaming from the TV, and realized they were watching a scary movie.
Since when did Kimberlee watch scary movies? She hates them.
Kimberlee was wearing her favorite sweatpants, and a teal short sleeve shirt, with her make-up and hair the same way it was when she left. Her hand was in the popcorn bowl.
Leo had on a tight v-neck gray shirt, with baggy jeans. His brown hair was sticking out in little spikes on his head. His hand was in the popcorn bowl too.
I almost laughed to myself, they were such dorks.
“Holding hands in the popcorn bowl, eh?” I said.
They both jumped when I slammed the door shut, and Kimberlee looked over at me.
Her hand flew out of the popcorn, and pieces of it went flying.
“No.” She stated with her eyebrows pulled together in a scowl.
I was taken aback, but only for a couple of seconds. She deserved me walking in on her and Leo.
I walked across the room, and sat down on the couch next to Kimberlee. If she wanted to ditch me, then I get revenge.
There was this burning smell coming from the kitchen, it smelled horrible. Oh, it was burnt popcorn. I scrunched my nose at the smell, and slumped on the couch, waiting for Kimberlee to yell at me, finally I closed my eyes.
The yelling never came.
I never knew how tired I was until now, like all the sleepless nights put together. I drifted to sleep.

“What is that smell Leo?” I asked him, turning away from Stella’s sleeping body.
Leo looked at me confused, and I couldn’t help myself. He looked so cute, with his messy brown hair, and his cute green eyes. I couldn’t stop myself from falling into his arms.
His arms tightened around me for awhile, and then he shrugged away from me to go check out the smell in the kitchen.
I lied back against the couch, and looked down at Stella.
Why did she have to be so annoying? She could have just left us alone, she didn’t have to ruin everything.
“Stupid.” I muttered in anger.
She looked a little pale, but that was just because she didn’t like the sun. Hey hair was wet, and dripping. I didn’t notice until now that her whole body was soaking wet, and ruining the couch.
There was a loud groan from the kitchen, and Leo raced out of it, with his cell phone up to his ear.
“….yeah. Whatever mom. Of course, you could have driven him. Yeah, bye!” Leo shouted into the phone.
What was he talking about? I thought.
I quickly s
