I can’t sit still outside for too long because spiders always crawl on me or near me. I always have to look for spiders wherever I go so I’m not caught off guard by one crawling on me. I can’t sit on picnic tables, and most of the time, I can’t even sit on my own patio furniture or deck. My family just doesn’t understand how honestly terrified I am of them. They get annoyed every time I ask them to kill one, and my dad refuses to all together. Every time one crawls on me, I freak out and cry hysterically. Even them being within eyesight makes me freak out. But sometimes, I look up pictures of them or youtube videos, which doesn’t make sense.
Is this arachnophobia?
If so, is there a way to treat it? Can a doctor put you on some soft of medication to calm me down when it comes to spiders?
It’s starting to get embarrassing because people think I’m overreacting.

I live in a Dallas suburb and am looking for some patio furniture. I have purchased the usual big store stuff that lasts a couple of years and then falls apart, but now I want some quality pieces. Where is there a place that fits the bill in Dallas? I can find a deal on just about anything under the sun but not patio furniture. I’m finding that a quality Chaise lounge can cost five hundred Dollars and up a piece, is there nowhere to find quality at a reduced price?
My wife is specifically looking for a pit group but we’re not finding what we want and my internet searches are coming up short. The businesses with quality pieces hardly post a thing about them. There is a concerted effort to make it impossible to comparrison shop as they dont give you prices or specific information. The sites are incredibly vague.
Where to go?

My husband removed an old wooden deck that was on the back of our house and under it was a cement patio. I want to paint it and use it instead of another wooden one. We replaced the poles that hold up the roof with new ones yesterday, I want to paint the cement but how do I do it..use cement paint or epoxy? I have included 2 pics 1 of what it looks like now and one with the way I would like to paint it. I do have new patio furniture for it already. Any ideas of how i can also spice it up a bit on a budget?
Now

What I would like it look like

Also the 2nd pic shows grass planted where the old deck used to be

I have a HUGE fly problem in my yard/on my patio. I have tried spraying the patio furniture with bug repellant, I have an electronic bug zapper (which only works on bugs at night, like moths), and those sticky fly strips. Nothing works to actually repel them. Anyone have any ideas????

I live in Southeastern Oklahoma where the ground cracks from the heat every summer. I am going to build a flagstone patio around our inground pool, but I need to know whether it is better to build the patio on sand and crushed rock, or a concrete bed. Or if it’s better just to use sand and dirt beneath (for the old-world style, moss between the flagstones look – which would be nice)? However I build this, it needs to have excellent drainage and be an even surface for patio furniture. Also, once the flagstone is set, is it better to mortar between the stone? I don’t want everyone getting sand or crushed rock in the pool.

Everyone is starting to scare me now….
I live in central NJ.
i thought it was just going to be heavy rain and heavy wind and the damage would be just trees knocked down, power outages and lawn ornaments/patio furniture that people didn’t put away flying around.
Is it really going to be alot worse than this in NJ?
People are making it sound like my house is going to be torn apart into pieces.
Please give me a realistic explanation of how bad it is going to affect NJ. Thank you.

Our neighbors behind us are nice people. My only issue is they have a bird feeder and while they enjoy the birds eating in their feeder, when they finish the birds come and hang out in my yard. Think Alfred Hitchcock "Birds". This has lead to an increase of bird poo. While right now it’s not an issue (it’s winter) in the summer it is. Our deck, patio furniture, pool ledge..EVERYTHING is covered in poop. You can’t touch anything without there being poop on it. You know it’s bad when the dog refuses to go in his caged area to potty bc there is massive amounts of bird poo in there. We literally have to hose everything down on a daily basis. My question is, is there anyway to repel the birds from our yard? Kind of how scarecrows keep crows out of corn fields and there’s stuff you spray on plants to keep bunnies out of your garden. I don’t want to kill them or harm them in anyway and I realize that I will never get rid of EVERY bird or all the poo. Id just like to see a good reduction of it

I have since taken all the furniture and put it away in the garage..I would like to have my patio furniture back.. Does anybody know of a way to stop them from destroying the patio furniture.. With out disposing of the squirrels.. Anybody else ever had this problem? THANK-YOU.. Have A Good Day

I am shopping for new deck chairs. I see now a lot of sites are selling outside furniture made from recycled poly lumber. It is recycled plastic I guess. I’m wondering if the "lumber" is as durable as they say. It costs more but says it is very durable and maintenance free. So it might be worth it? Anyone have patio furniture made of this? What do you think? The chairs I’m looking at are at www.OutdoorDeckStuff.com. They have tons of colors so I’m very tempted!
Thanks!

Are there any real reasons for spray paint? And don’t tell me to repaint your patio furniture. I see the utility departments using it on streets for digging projects, but what if it was stopped being produced to combat graffiti and tagging? Wouldn’t tagging still exist with big fat magic markers?

I want to start a self employed business of pressure washing homes, convenient stores, driveways, sidewalks, small business fronts, decks, privacy fences and patio furniture as well as patios. Also, I want to offer staining and sealing services for the decks and fences. How many licenses do or am I required to have and or purchase in addition to the South Carolina specialty license registration? Do I need a license in every small city or town in YORK County or just the license in York County itself?

I have a deck on the bottom with patio furniture. It has 2 wicker chairs and a couch. They are very comfortable. What could with it. It is like another room. It is partially covered on the top of my top deck.

9 weekends ago I decided to switch my neighbors patio furniture with the other neighbors to see the reaction they would both have.
They both have been arguing over who did it and are blaming each other still. Even their kids have been yelling and fighting each other.
The other night they got into a physical fight which woke me up…, now they want to settle their disputes in a law suit…
They don’t realize how disturbing it is to me, how do I get them to stop??

I’m renting a home that was once destroyed by a flood but has been renovated. The deck is still the original and we have a TON of ants! No matter what patio furniture we put out on the deck, ants are crawling on it in minutes. We have noticed a lot of debris under the deck from possibly the flood. So here are the questions:
1) Do we clear the debris first and then treat the ants? Or treat and then clear away debris?
2) Do we just use ant spray from hardware stores or what other treatments are best?
