Why doesn’t my cat clean her butt?

My cat is a very clean cat. She is always cleaning herself but two days ago I noticed that she had dry poop hanging from her behind. I try to take it off with a warm wet napkin but it was to hard to do so I gave her a shower. Today her behind was completely covered in poop. I cleaned her again and eventhough she doesn’t like it and does everything to run away I did it. Why does she have poop on her behind. I had never had this problem with her. Is she not cleaning herself down there or is she sick. My cat is not fat. Last time I took her to the vet she weighed 7 lb and they did not tell us she is overweight. Is not a matter of she not being able to reach either because I’ve seen her clean herself there and around her bum. Is she being lazy. Her litter is always clean. Should I take her to the vet. She had worms before but was dewormed. I dewormed her last month. We have not seen any since.

For me this is a huge problem because she likes to climb our furniture and kitchen table. She also likes to sleep in our beds.

We clean up immediately when he goes in the house… but sometimes he’ll go in a corner behind the furniture and we don’t see it right away… and later we’ll catch him running through the house with a large turd hanging from his mouth. Once he pooped in the corner behind the kitchen table and ate it… and we know b/c there was "remnants" of puppy poop on the floor. nasty nasty boy.

Roommate laws in Colorado?

I moved in with a friend and co-worker 10/08. At the time of move in a contract was not written nor was it ever written during my time there. The verbal agreement at time of move in was that I would pay 1/3 of the monthly rent on the 10th of each month and 1/3 of the bills, nothing was spoken about giving a 30 day notice to her if I chose to leave. Due to recent events I have moved due to me not feeling safe in the home anymore. My roommate would not give me a house key as she never locked the door, she would bring home random guys from the bar, she has done illiegal drugs in the home that we shared, and she never cleaned (none of which I knew upon move in). Upon leaving there was dog poop in her room and vomit on her bed that has been there for weeks, in addition to that the basment smelled like cat pee as her cat is no longer using the litterbox as my roommate never cleans it, that doesn’t even to begin to describ how disgusting this house is. Her dog also had bloody diaherria on my bedroom furniture that I had to clean as she was out drinking, another one of her dogs ate ALL my dogs very expensive food and ruined the container that I kept the food in which she never replaced like she said she would, and she evicted my small dog due to her large banned breeded dog attacking her and she would not help with any of the medical bills (were not much as I work as a vet clinic but money still came out of my pocket). My parents convinced me yesterday to move out today. Today I moved out without telling her as she was out drinking the night before and did not come home therefore I was not able to infom her about me moving out the next day. Before I left I cleaned the room spotless. When my roommate got home she was very upset and called me while I was on my way to my parents home to unload my belongins from my car. She was very hostel on the phone and I informed her that I am giving her a 11 day notice that I was leaving. Even though I am no longer living there I am going to allow her to keep the remaining 11 day rent (approx 5) for bills that I may owe. My roommate is now threating to take me to small clams court even though there is no documentation about an agreement. I also recieved a text message from her informing me that if I went around telling everyone at work that she is doing drugs she would also sue me for slander, which I would not do as my work is a place of business not a high school. Please leave any legit referances as this will most likley go to court.

Puppy Problems… HELP!!!?

Our new puppy (who has been with us for 2 weeks) is a pain in our butts,(husband and I), she has runny stools (she is going to the vet today, I know she has worms) and she has actually pooped on our bed. So we make her sleep in the kitchen with a baby gate up with access to food and water and toys. Problem- SHE WON’T SLEEP and CRIES ALL NIGHT LONG. We have tried a ticking clock, puppy heated bed, white noise, dog silent trainer, water bottle, and a can with pennies in it…

Our neighbors are fed up, my husband and I are on the verge of a meltdown (I may be pregnant, and he works early and needs sleep and s do I)

We have a pug and poodle now who have always been angels, never had this problem because they knew that the bed is for sleeping and not for pooping.

The puppy has also ruined out house with her runny poop…

What would you do? She is on the verge on getting my husband and I to fight and snapp at each other,

PLEASE HELP ME! I’m at a loss…

My 12 week old puppy has had his second injection on Thursday and is due to go to his puppy party tonight at the vets.

The only thing is – he pooped in his bed last night, it must have been quite soft poop – doesn’t look like diahrrea. He’s never pooped in his bed before, he doens’t even wee in his bed.

He was off his food yesterday, and had a runny poop just before bed.

He’s full of beans today, and seems dead happy (even though he needed a bath this morning!). I’ve not fed his today and he’s not passed any stools so far.

Does anyone have any thoughts? is is safe for him to go and mix with other puppies? or should he stay at home?

he’s not been allowed out, and has spent the last 4 days at home with me as i’ve been off sick. He did manage to eat some of a nylabone yesterday, which i promptly stole back from him, and he may well have eaten something dodgy from the kitchen bin he somehow knocked over.
Just to add to this – he’s going to a puppy party set up by the vet. It consists of other puppys between thier first injection and ‘going out’ time. So all haven’t been exposed to the outside world yet.

So he wont have any chances of catching anything really. I’m just worried that he could have something and pass it on to other pups.

If his next stool is solid, would that indicate that he did just eat something a bit dodgy and he’s fine now – rather than having parvo or something?
oo – and to add, i’m in the UK. He only has 2 injections to cover him from the major forms of disease here.

He then has boosters much later.

He’s allowed out on Xmas day,and isn’t fully covered until then.

How to clean cat diarrhea off kitchen chairs!!!?

Ok one of my cats (layah a one year old Manx) got diarrhea and it got all over one of my kitchen dining chairs. There was also a nice mushy nugget on another chair. I clean the poop off the floor, and took a soapy hot sponge and cleaned the chairs (they have a fabric seat) is that enough? Or is there more that I need to do?

Antibiotics & Cats?

My cat had surgery on his ear (Wed)…. started giving him antibiotic medication the next morning (Thurs).
He is taking a form of Amoxicillin…. 2 x day…..he has been on the
antibiotic for 3 days now and this evening I found a small piece of poop on the kitchen floor… it was formed but light in color and kinda soft….. I also found what looked like water drops but brownish in color… about 6-8 small drops on a different area of the floor.
My question is:
Can antibiotics cause loose stools or diahrea in cats? After 3 days of taking it plus the fact that he has never had soft/loose stools before or any accidents on the kitchen floor…..could it be the medication causing it? He seems fine otherwise….
I know humans sometimes experience this when antibiotics are taken so maybe cats can too…… any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank You
( sorry for the detailed description of what I saw but I wanted to give as much detail as possible )

I do pick up his poop but sometimes he is in the yard alone for a while and I will catch him doing it out the window. He does not do it all the time.
He does have chronic loose stools. I tried California Natural and Eagle Pack Holistic dog food with no success. Right now I am changing him over to Natural Balance Duck and Potato. I have heard allot of really good things about it from people whose dogs had similiar issues with loose stools.

Is my cat sick?

My 3 year old male (neutered) persian cat is acting odd. He slept in the basement alone for about two hours this morning while I was upstairs. Usually he stays where I can see him, so I went downstairs to check on him. He kept on sleeping when I picked him up, which he usually doesn’t do. I brought him upstairs so I could keep an eye on him. He walked over to his food and water bowls and looked between the two for about 30 seconds before finally taking a few sips of water. Then he very slowly hopped into one of the barstools and meowed pathetically. I petted him and he gave me a lot of "kitty kisses" (his tongue feels normal). His eyes were watering profusely yesterday and he recently started having dandruff on his lower back area. While he was asleep I turned him over and felt his belly, which feels sort of "full" if that makes sense.
Two days ago he had quite a bit of milk. I was eating some Kashi Blueberry cereal and set the bowl down on the floor. It had milk and some
cereal in it. I don’t think he ate any of the cereal but he drank quite a bit of milk.
He is also walking strangely. I can’t really describe what’s wrong with his walk, but about a year ago his back (left I think) leg was inflamed and he had to take a pink antibiotic.
Does anyone know what could be wrong? Am I just overreacting to a normally active cat’s sleepiness?
I just looked at him again and he has some brown wax in his ears. I don’t think it’s an abnormal amount, but I don’t clean his ears that often so I really don’t know. :(
I just cleaned his litterbox and there were three "pee pads" in it, but no poop. I cleaned it yesterday at 12:00 and there was both #1 and #2 in it (but nothing abnormal). He sat in the car for about 2.5 hours yesterday (he is used to doing this and it was cool outside and he had water).
He just ate some food and is heading down to the basement (where his litterbox is) so I will update in just a second if he goes #2.
Yes, he went #2, which is something of a relief.
I think he is ok now. He is hyper and running around like he usually does. I guess he just had an upset tummy and after he pooped he was OK. However, if anyone else’s cat has gone through something similar, I’d love your input.
