I’m renting an apartment and it has a sunroom instead of a balcony. I’m moving from a 3100 sq ft. house. And the apt is 1800 sq ft. It has all the necessary space to put my furniture except my patio set. Could I put it into a sunroom?

We have a 1500 sq ft round house (technically, it is made up of 17 8′ flat panels that come together to form a circle. No sheetrockers want anything to do with the ceiling because they would not be able to guarantee their work, because we would have stress cracks soon in the future. We would love to put wood on the ceiling, as we are going for a rustic contemporary look, but we figured it would be way too costly. Any ideas????? Please help!

I live in 330 sq ft room , I’m looking for small furniture that can possibly transform into different things. Like a sofa bed or bar table that can turn into a computer table something like that. I’ve been looking on the internet but can’t find much. Does anyone know such a site?

Got a quote to install Shaw Natural Values laminate throughout my entire first floor. They will remove all existing carpet in the living and dining rooms, vinyl in the kitchen, and hardwood in the foyer. They will also handle moving all furniture and appliances and price includes underlayment and transitions. Basically, it comes out to a little over /sq ft for the installation.

I’m trying to come up with a business plan for a sports pub, consisting of a kitchen and at least 16 televisions, in the mid-atlantic region (heat and AC will both be needed per season). I’m trying to get a ballpark figure for budget purposes on how much electric/gas/sewer utilities will cost per month. Say, 3500 sq. ft. building.

Hi all. My husband and I live in an 1100 sq/ft house with two bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 hallway, a laundry room, small kitchen and big living room. We want to have the whole house tiled with carpet in the two bedrooms. When our puppies were growing up they discovered the worn holes in the old carpet and decided to make them bigger, tearing into them like an Easter Ham. (The house is about 26 yrs old and the carpet is at least 10 yrs old)
We are on a budget and are looking for options to save money on installation and materials. We are looking at tile and carpet that costs about per sq/ft and would like to get it installed by someone.
1) Would we really save money doing prep work ourselves? How much would this entail?: Im imagining pulling up the old carpet, pulling out the wood bits and nails, clearing out all the furniture, sweeping… cant think of what else. Is it worth the savings?
2) How much would it be to get it installed? We live in Bakersfield, CA.
BTW thats tile throughout the house and carpet in the two bedrooms (not carpet tiles)
We have thought about doing it ourselves. Maybe we need to revisit that. We have both laid tile before but not carpet. Id rather leave that to professionals cos I dont know it. The main reason why we wanted to get it installed is because it is the whole house not just one room and 5 professionals can come in and do it a lot faster and easier than my husband and I ever could. It would take us weeks and weeks. But maybe we can get relatives to help.

With about 20 tables and a bar. Lease amount already known, but what about kitchen equipment, tables, chairs, etc. and some redecoration? It’s about 2000 sq ft.

What color of sofa should I use. I have a black leather daybed similar to this one http://www.thefurniture.com/store/proddetail.asp?prod=Zuo-Ibiza-Daybed-500095&cat=108 and unfortunately I have to keep it in my living room even if it does not match the decor.
I have a glass TV table for my huge plasma tv. Its a rental place so I cannot change anything. There are lovely antique gold light fixtures on the walls. Also I have 2 beautiful rugs- one is a lovely navy blue rug with deep red and cream design on it and another rug that is deep red with cream on it. I dont know which rug to use. The floor is hardwood. I could buy a different rug too. I now need to tie the whole look together. Orange walls, white ceiling, blue rug. deep red rug/other rug, a black leather daybed. I am thinking abt adding a palm tree and need to get bar stools for the kitchen island and a long narrow coffee table. Its a one bedroom 850 sq ft rental.
I always wanted a tropical look but it wont work here I guess. I need lots and lots of help please.
