he has ripped up the vinyl in my kitchen, chewed the trim on door frames, trim off walls(chair rail), coffee tables, beds ~ headboard, footboard, dressers, throw rugs, you name it he has eaten it or chewed it up. He does this even if we are in the next room. He is so distructive he is making my life miserable. He has plenty of toys and chew things like raw hides, etc. Open for suggestions… I love him to much to get rid of him…. please advise ~ stressed out!!!!!

My cat Brodie is a beautiful 3 year old Torti DSH. She’s de-clawed and has all her shots. She isn’t the most affectionate cat but when the mood hits her she can be very cuddly.

I love my cat to death but I cannot have people come to my house without her freaking out at them. I mean hissing, growling and on occasion dropping feces. After a minute or two she’d go hide and meow for awhile then calm down and come out.

Soon she started having these seemingly random freak-attacks at me. They don’t happen often and as far as I know they are totally unprovoked. For example I would walk from the living room to the kitchen and she would freak. She’s not near food or any of her toys when it happens so I have no idea what could be causing it. Also, after about 10 minutes or so of her meowing under a couch or whatever, she would come to me and want to cuddle as if nothing was ever wrong.

These past couple weeks she has started peeing on furniture and rugs. I keep her litter clean she gets fresh food and water everyday and nothing in my daily life has changed so I don’t think it can be that she is upset.

Things are getting really bad for me, the smell and the stress of dealing with her is making it very hard to let her cuddle or play with me. What can I do to help her?

How to get dogs to stop chewing?

My friend has 2 beagles
1 female – not fixed
1 male – fixed
Both over 1yr old
She says they chew on her furniture, her daughters clothes, EVERYTHING
They stay either outside or in the kitchen while she is at work.
The dogs have lots of chew toys from stuffed animals to rubber chewies.

My suggestion was maybe their plethera of chew toys resemble their household items too much. For example a stuffed animal can feel like clothing or furniture cushions.

Any suggestions from y’all?

Today my 4 and half year old daughter and I were playing with some fake food and play doh. Within 15 minutes of playing my daughter said mmm, I want a sandwhich.

I then told her, you do? I have to check if we have any sandwhich stuff (to make a sanwhich with.)

My daughter then hopped down off of the stool and ran in to the kitchen where her grandmother was and told her that she wanted a sandwhich.

Then I hollered from the living room into the kitchen that we have to finish playing or clean up before we can have lunch.

My daughter hollered back that she was making a sandwhich.

To which I responded it’s not lunch time yet and we have to clean up. I heard her grandmother said mommy’s calling you. I then heard her groan and mumble that she was hungry.

When she came back in I told her we must clean first (there were toys everywhere in her room and on the table)

She started cleaning and I reminded her of how important it is to clean up. She got upset somewhere down the line and started pouting and eventually crying. She became really upset. I had to calm her down.

She got all the work done (picked up all of her toys) and we together went into the kitchen and made her a nice sandwhich.

While we ate lunch together she told me that she loved me, and I told her that I loved her too.

Do you think that I was too hard on her? That I acted unreasonably? I just feel that maybe sometimes I am too firm with her, which causes her to get upset with me. I feel that I nag too.

She is a really good kid. Everyone always tells me how nice and well mannered she is.

I’ll explain what my apt looks like. Its about 800 sq feet of living room and kitchen. The bedroom will have the crib.
I need a little area for the baby in the living room.A little room.
When you enter to the left is the kitchen. Then the bar area with 2 stools(attached to the kitchen)Then the living room and french windows in the end..leading on the right to a balcony.
I want to know which area should be divided?
I would like to be able to relax, watch tv,cook etc without disturbing the baby. The baby will sleep in the bedroom but I want him to have his own little area where I can place his playgym, his swing, his toys, maybe a changing table etc.

I wish I could see pics,so if anyone has pics of something like that please post a link.
Thanks a lot in advance for helping.

We are going to get rid of him next week . I dont know what else to do and our children are devestated. He has a kong and chew toys and bones but he is outside digging and chewing plants. He has chewed over 20 shoes, a bar stool a chair in my living roo, All sorts of materials and textures. We are desperate. Will he outgrow it? We have tried sprays and reprimands and praising and everythign we have heard of. I really love his sweet temperment but we are at hte end of our rope. Help please!

My puppy knows when it’s a work day. As I am getting ready for work he is playful and listens. As soon as he sees me put on my suit he runs and hides under the couch or under the bed or wherever he can. It’s only when I get ready for work though. If it’s the weekend and I’m going out and put on a pair or jeans he doesn’t run or hide. It doesn’t matter which suit I put on either it’s the same thing. So I spend time chasing him around the house to try and catch him. moving furniture sometimes…. just so I can put him in the kitchen 4 when I go 2 work as he is not potty trained yet. I even come home to check on him during breaks. So why is my dog doing this? How can I get him to go to the kitchen when it’s time 4 me to go 2 wk? I have tired treats and toys non of which worked. Any ideas? It’s driving me crazy!
