This room is a combination of the kitchen and family room. The kitchen opens into the family room. We have a dark espresso wood flooring and kitchen cabinets. We also have a dark wood billiards table in the family room. What color should we paint the walls?

I’m hiring a friend to install wood flooring (300sqft) and kitchen tile (200 sqft). Is 0 too high or too low? He will do everything: go with me to the store for supplies, move furniture, remove carpet, install. The wood flooring will be the kind that snaps together. Still have a lot of research to do. What is a decent price to pay for installation?

The place is in need of so much work.
Such as;
New doors. Tile for the kitchen and bathroom. Granite counter tops. Stainless Steel appliances. Finished wood flooring and I also want to turn my over-sized bedroom into a living room, and my tiny living room into a bedroom. Not to mention the fact that I have no furniture. Can an interior designer come in and take care of all of those things for me on a limited budget of under ,000?

This is a mobile home, planning on painting the kitchen, it is not a "open" wall, cabinets, refrig, etc, so no "big" painted space. The large walls have a light paneling, we have light wood flooring, the walls are decorated with "old timey" utinsels. Just trying to get some ideas.

My kitchen and living room Connect through a big bar opening in the wall. I was thinking of doing the kitchen some shade of green that will go with the stainless steel Appliances and honey wood cabinets. In my living room I have Chocolate brown Curtains that I love, but I am unsure of what colors to paint the walls. My couches are light tan, and most other furniture is black With the kitchen being green I feel the living room being green would be too much. I was thinking light powder blue, but the carpet we currently have is about that color, so it may again be too much. We are however going to be upgrading to honey colored wood flooring within a year. So I need a color that will work for now as well as when we change to wood flooring.
