Teenage party comments?
My daughter (15) told me she wants to host a party, I gave her some rules and now I need comments. My basement is very large, a bar with 6 stools in back, a very good stereo system and with furniture put on the sides, a large dance floor. I will have all alcohol on my property locked in my gun safe. (No guns my wife made me sell them, i kept the safe) I do have a Wunder Bar setup in back with a few full CO2 tanks in case i run out. I intend to serve sodas, water, ice tea, etc from there. I told her too keep the guest list to 25-30 people. I have 3 chaperones, me, my wife and a neighbor, is that enough? My most important rules are… NO Alcohol, NO Drugs, NO Dirty Dancing, and NO re-entering after leaving. Are there any problems with my plan? Sound isnt an issue, the neighbors are far enough away they wont hear anything.
CLARIFICATION:
The only reason I dont want re entries is that I dont want people leaving getting high and coming back in
I dont want there to be anything illegal going on in my house in case there is any chance the cops come

I am 15 and I feel these rules are very appropriate, because that will keep the party under control and avoid anything bad happening. Now the no re-entry may not work if there isn’t a bathroom in the basement, but if you mean leaving out the house for a long time and trying to come back with others then I would understand that one. I would also tell your daughter to make sure nothing goes wrong/get out of hand at the party or she wouldn’t be aloud to host another party, because her sweet 16 is the next big party and I know she wouldn’t want to mess up having a good sweet 16 party.
Too many chaperones, shes gonna be upset.
Be careful of an annoncment on face book etc. your 25 may become 125

Don’t be too uptight about everything, cause this party is starting to sound like one I had when I was 10.

I think it’s fine to have 3 chaperones, you could even have more, but you should approach it like you’re having dinner (the 3 chaperones) on your own. In other words, make it so the kids don’t feel hawk-eyed by your guys. Just be there having your own dinner party. You have to know that with 25-30 teenagers there’s going to be some pot or alcohol potentially snuck in. Deal with this with grace. The way you handle these things in these sensitive teenage years can effect your relationship with your kid in a big way. Be the parent, but don’t act like it’s the end of the world if they act like the teenagers that they are.
Make sure there’s plenty of food and the permission of all the kids’ parents that they’re there. Good luck!
I think that the no re-entering after leaving is a bit extreme, I mean I can understand if they are going to get more people then thats obviously not fine but if they are going to the bathroom or something they will obviously have to get back in. If all her friends are the same age as her then alcohol and drugs are illegal for them, as they’re underage but more than likely someone will sneak some in, they’re teenagers.
