What are some good lounge bars in Lexington, Ky?
I just moved here from Cincinnati and am trying to check out the night life. A colleague took me to a McCarthy’s and a redneck karoke bar called Grapevine. But I prefer lounge bars…chill music that’s not too loud, chairs and tables to sit at, and possibly an older crowd (25+).
I’ve heard of 11th Frame and Triple Crown Lounge…are they any good?

Not sure where to find something you desribe exactly. Maybe the Big Blue Martini (it’s in a downtown hotel, can’t remember which one).
Been awhile since I’ve been there, but the favorite place for a group of us used to be Charlie Brown’s on Euclid. We’d get off work from the hospital at 11 pm, go over and get drinks by the carafe, and lounge on the old couches by the fire. We were all in our mid 20-30s, but there were younger and older people there too. Very hole in the wall, but there’s something about the atmosphere.
A1A may be of interest once the weather warms up. It has a roof top patio that’s very relaxed (I always skip the louder cover bands playing elsewhere in the complex).
Club 141 on W Vine has dancing and drag queens. Was the most fun I ever had going out dancing. Best dance music.
Want to just get a beer and pizza? Joe Bologna’s on W. Maxwell.
Sports bars…throw a rock and you’ll hit one.
There’s a redneck bar? In KENTUCKY?! Get outta here, I don’t believe it.
Next thing you know, we’ll have crooked politicians, or cops who abuse their authority.
