My cat started not cleaning her rear completely out of the blue. She’s getting older, so I figured she was simply tired of it. Around the same time that she got her teeth cleaned and I put her on a top-notch food (Innova), she started to clean it again.
I’m not sure if her mouth was sore due to the beginnings of gingivitis (which were cleaned out) or if the old food somehow stuck to her rear more than the new food does.
My other cat has bouts of soft stool that can be a little messy. I have no idea why this happens, but I give her some fiber mixed with water and wet food. It helps firm things up.
Have you changed litter or litter boxes lately? Are they in a new place? Maybe the cat is leaving the litter box too quickly for some reason.
because it smells bad and she wants you to clean it for her
because she’s waiting for me
roflmao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hhahhahahha wow maybe because she telling some one to kiss her popie ***
mabe her butt hair is to long and it sticks.or she has an anel gland problum
Had this with one of my cats, the vet said he was removed from his mother too soon and wasnt taught to do it himself. Very sad.
My initial thought was the same as the other poster, removed from mom too soon. If she is older than a year and just started doing this than I would lean towards an anal gland issue and she needs to be seen by a vet. The other thing it may be is she is constipated. I would take her to the vet if this is a new issue for you. Good luck.
