one word… FLEAS
when the cats wont stay on the floor its usually fleas have invaded.
Easy way to find out. Put a white plate with water and a drop of detergent on the floor in the evening, Place a light to shine on it and close the door of the room. If you have fleas you’ll see them in the water the next morning
BTW your cat didnt have to bring them in. The little buggers will hop on pant legs, thru open doors. crawl thru holes in screens
when is the last time you clean the carpet? There may be a scent he does not like or something had scared your cat? Could be an insect, rat or others! Best have a carpet cleaner clean the carpet!
My cat does/did this….
Did you bring another animal in the home?
If not, something on the FLOOR could have frightened the cat, and its way of dealing with it is jumping from things…
I wouldn’t worry about it… It should go away on its on.. it may take some time… but the kitty will be fine..
maybe theres rats in the house and he is scared of them.
because she or he could walk bEcause her legs are short
maybe the floor was to cold for him and they like the floor to be clean..
In Ancient Times, cats were revered as gods in Egypt & the surrounding areas. They have NEVER forgotten this!
