Will these 3 leg excercises make me a faster runner… ?
I got to the gym every day and every wednsday I work my ches and legs…
I play football a lot with my friends and I am the fastest one there. But I want to be even faster.
When I do legs
1st is quads. I do this macine where I sit in this chair and lift the bar with weights kick up (I’m at 40lbs 4 sets of 10) with my feet it works my quads.
For the 2nd one I work my hamstrings. You lay face down and lift the bar with the back of your feet you kick towards your butt (I’m on 40lbs on this also 4 sets of 10)
3rd is the calf work out. You put your sholders under these 2 pads that go right to each shoulder. Lift with your shoulders than you go flat foot to tippy toes and works the calfs… (I’m on 100lbs 4 sets of 10)
Will this make me run faster… if not what will.
I don’t do squats or lunges because I don’t have a partner to spot me.

I am not sure how a third leg will make you run any faster.Besides who is going to give up thier leg for you?
they should help, be sure to keep stretching and stay flexible
also you should work on your fast twitch muscles by doing things such as the speed ladder….just something involving quick feet
and just run, long distance, it gives the muscles a chance to loosen up
you don’t need anybody to spot you with lunges
You should still squat even if nobody is spotting you, just use a lighter weight and do more reps. Try not to avoid those two workouts because they are key in developing leg muscles and improving your running abilities.
